As the Airport Credentialing Agent, you will review applications for and issue airport employee security identification (ID) badges as part of the Airport Security credentialing program, and perform related functions. The work contributes to the Airports Authority’s overall Airport Security Program (ASP).

Serves in the Pass and ID Section of the Airport Operations Department at DCA.

Performs airport security credentialing program, customer service, and security functions. Reviews badge applications, issues or renews badges, and accounts for ID badges. Collects and transmits sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for background checks. Conducts and monitors training and testing of applicants for access to restricted airport areas. Performs related functions.

 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responds to basic requests for information concerning security requirements, background investigations, training requirements, and procedures to obtain ID badges.
  • Processes applications for ID badges, reviewing for completeness, inspecting identification and immigration (when applicable) documents, taking fingerprints, and securely transmitting biometric data and Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
  • Administers Security Identification Display Area (SIDA), secure area, and driver training and testing to applicants. Certifies successful completion of training.
  • Tracks applicants who fail to successfully complete a Security Threat Assessment (STA) or Air Carriers Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) or are subsequently disqualified.
  • Produces  airport ID badges, files and maintains badge records and documents, and maintains inventory of controlled and uncontrolled supplies.
  • [DCA Only] Processes Taxicab Permits for STA.
  • Issues airports issued keys in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs routine badging and key audits to comply with TSA regulations.
  • May provide basic training on front-line service processes and procedures to newer employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of experience performing general clerical support work.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply security requirements and regulations for access control.
  • Skill in identifying fraudulent or tampered identity documents.
  • Knowledge of and ability to operate access control systems, key control systems, and the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS).
  • Ability to speak and write effectively.
  • Ability to perform basic analyses of data and information.
  • Skill in using a computer and modern office suite software.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with ID badge application and production/recovery processes.
  • Experience in a high-volume, direct customer service.
  • Airport Certified Employee (ACE) – Trusted Agent Certification
  • Experience with vetting and airport credentialing.

 

EDUCATION

  • A high school diploma or a Certificate of General Educational Development (GED).

  • Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, teamwork, customer service, and other factors.
  • Work requires moderate physical exertion (lifting objects up to 25 pounds).

Airport Operations Duty Manager

As an Airport Operations Duty Manager, you will perform critical airport management functions to ensure the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the entire airport complex.

Serves in the Airport Operations Department at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

Performs airport management functions with responsibility for the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the entire airport complex. Maintains constant awareness of changing conditions, activities, and requirements affecting Airport operations. Maximizes safety and security with minimal disruption to Airport operations. Reacts and responds to incidents, events, problems, and complaints in a professional manner and takes appropriate actions. Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Maintains constant awareness of conditions, activities and changing requirements affecting Airport security.  Ensures adherence to the Airport’s operations safety standards.
  • Inspects the operational condition of the Airport complex during each tour of duty and ensures compliance with all related guidelines and requirements. Inspections include but are not limited to landside roads, terminal facilities, airfield runways, taxiways, safety areas, imaginary surfaces, NAVAIDS critical areas and lighting systems.
  • Documents issues, discrepancies, and non-complying conditions concerning 14 FAR Part 139 and 49 FAR Part 1540 and 1542, and tenant activities to appropriate parties and reports for follow-up actions: monitors progress of corrections; determines severity of discrepancies and priority for corrective action.
  • Closes all or portions of airfield during emergencies; authorizes the issuances of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs).
  • Initiates and directs the appropriate Contingency Plan(s), and makes decisions on behalf of the Airport Manager during emergencies and other events. Coordinates personnel efforts during emergencies.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Transportation Security Authority (TSA), airlines, tenants and other stakeholders regarding Airport security.
  • Ensures compliance with “Wildlife Hazard Management” regulations.
  • Directs or initiates action to prevent unsafe operating conditions on the entire Airport complex during inclement weather.
  • Manages the Airport Operations 24-hour Command Center.
  • Ensures coordination with the U.S. Secret Service, State Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), TSA, and other agencies pertinent to the security of high-ranking officials, foreign dignitaries, or other “high-risk” individuals that warrant special handling.
  • Consults with representatives of air carriers, tenants, concessionaires, and Airports Authority personnel to provide assistance and guidance in resolving Airport operations situations.
  • May initiate and serve in the Incident Command System and the Emergency Operations Center during emergency conditions.
  • May substitute for the Supervisory Airport Operations Duty Manager in that person’s absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Six years of progressively responsible experience in airport or airline operations as a full performance level Operations Officer, or in a comparable job class in airport or airline operations at either a 14 CFR Part 139 certified airport OR six years of military air operations experience, OR a combination of the two provided that totals six years of operations experience and a bachelor’s degree in any field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experience leading, or helping to lead, at least one of the following: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport certification; airport, airline, or military security program; recurring disaster/emergency exercises; or the monitoring and coordination of airport construction and maintenance operations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant Federal regulatory requirements governing airports.
  • Knowledge of aircraft operations, to include navigational and unusual aircraft operating characteristics, and the ability to evaluate aircraft and air traffic and take timely and appropriate action.
  • Ability to recommend and develop new airport operational policies or procedures, as necessary.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform airport management functions.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, prioritize issues, and formulate response plans.
  • Ability to make detailed analyses of data and information and make recommendations.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on communicating sensitive or classified information in an emergency situation.

General Description:

Minimum Qualifications:

Employment Standards

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; three years of experience supporting Airport Operations in a civilian airport; or a combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirement.

License and Special Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid California Driver’s license.
  • Obtain and maintain security clearance as required by role and TSA regulations.

The Facilities Space Planning Supervisor will oversee the tracking, planning, allocation, and management of space within DEN’s multi-tenant, multi-purpose facility campus. This is a key role in DEN Space Management. Its responsibilities include leading space planning and optimization efforts, lease coordination, and developing and implementing space allocation guidelines, policies, and procedures across the DEN campus.
A critical responsibility of this role will be managing and maintaining furniture guidelines, ensuring that all standards are met, and overseeing furniture inventory and procurement.

Space Utilization & Reporting:

Required Minimum Qualifications

Engineer I/II

San José Mineta International Airport is currently recruiting to fill two (2) Engineer I/II positions. These positions are responsible for delivery of and providing technical support to capital and tenant improvement projects within the Planning and Development Division of the Airport Department. Under direction of an Associate Architect, the Engineer I/II performs a variety of professional assignments including planning, designing, and implementing projects at the Airport that are related to the operation of the aviation segment of the Airport’s business. Director of Planning

SUMMARY

 

An employee of this class will be responsible for directing, reviewing, and evaluating the activities of the Planning Department, which includes Airport Planning and Airport Environmental Planning.  Incumbents in this classification report directly to the Senior Vice President of Capital Development. The Director of Planning will coordinate and direct multiple aviation programs and planning activities, including the execution of the airport capital improvement program, environmental planning/processes, environmental compliance and sustainability efforts. Oversees the preparation, development and implementation of the Airport’s Capital Improvement Program and other related short- and long-range project plans.
Plans and prioritizes capital projects; develops and manages project budgets, implementation schedules, and stakeholder coordination during implementation.
Directs, manages and coordinates the preparation of complex planning and environmental studies for the development and improvement of airport properties and facilities.
Oversees environmental planning and other system planning projects to ensure compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) design standards, operating requirements, federal, state and local policies and regulations.
Directs the preparation of federal, state, and local grant applications for funding; develops and oversees implementation of FAA infrastructure grants.
Implements a formalized strategic airport planning process for OIAA, including the required steps to plan a development or project at ONT.
Directs and/or performs the review and monitors airport development projects for conformity with Airport planning documents including the Airport Layout Plan (ALP), Land Use Management Plan, Utility Plan and Construction Plan.
Directs and manages revisions to, as required, the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) to reflect as-constructed conditions and changes to future development plans.
Reviews and monitors airport development projects for compliance with FAA requirements and environmental regulations, including but not limited to, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) and all other local, state and federal regulations.
Directs the preparation of Professional Services Agreements, technical specifications and plans for various studies and technical services; recommends and approves contract awards; and organizes, coordinates and supervises the work of consultants.
Represents and serves as the OIAA representative on local, regional and/or national organizations regarding planning and environmental technical issues.
Works across Departments and Divisions to facilitate various planning and environmental activities to ensure efficient coordination of projects including scope, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure the ongoing development of the airport will meet the priorities set by leadership and the OIAA Board.
Leads and directs the activities of assigned staff; reviews work plans; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems; assigns work activities and projects; monitors workflow; evaluates employee performance and work products.
Communicates airport planning and environmental objectives, goals and progress to OIAA senior management and stakeholders.
Meets with officials of public and private agencies, community groups, and individuals to explain aviation development related issues.; effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders on technical subject matter expertise.
Directs, plans, manages and coordinates the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; establishes, within OIAA policy, appropriate service and staffing levels; allocates resources accordingly.
Does related work as required.
May occasionally be assigned to other duties for training purposes, technological changes or deficiencies or for emergency response.
Required to visit project sites at terminal, airside or landside locations. Attendance at off-site meetings for presentations, networking and other industry events also required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position.

 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Airport Planning, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field is required.  A Master’s degree in a related field is highly desirable.
Seven (7) years of progressively responsible and recent professional experience in planning projects and programs, preferably at a FAA Part 139 Certified Airport, including a minimum of three (3) years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Experience at a commercial airport and working with an appointed board or elected officials is highly desirable. Familiarity with and work experience in the Southern California region is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database programs.

Responsibilities

Under the leadership of the Vice President of Finance, the Director of Finance is a highly experienced and results-driven position with expertise in public sector accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with government regulations. This position will oversee financial operations, streamline accounting processes, and ensure fiscal responsibility for the Aviation Authority. This role requires strong leadership and a strategic approach to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This Director oversees the preparation of budgets, financial planning, financial reporting, s, and provides strategic financial leadership to ensure efficient use of Authority funds. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·       Designs and implements robust internal controls over the general ledger and bank reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
