Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Transportation, the Manager, Iqaluit Airport Operations, acts on behalf of the Government of Nunavut (GN) as the GN Representative named in the Iqaluit International Airport Improvement Project (IIAIP) Project Agreement. Through close and continuous monitoring of the Private Partner’s performance, the Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Private Partner lives up to their contractual obligations and that the Iqaluit Airport continues to serve the best interests of Nunavummiut.

The Iqaluit International Airport is the single largest piece of infrastructure in Nunavut and is critical to the well-being of the territory. The Iqaluit International Airport Improvement Project (IIAIP) is the first Public Private Partnership (P3) agreement undertaken in Nunavut, and is the most complex commercial agreement ever entered into by the GN. The Project Agreement governing the IIAIP included the initial four-year construction phase, which concluded in 2017, as well as a 30-year operations and maintenance period, concluding in 2047.

This position includes responsibility for oversight and monitoring of all operation and maintenance activities, regulatory compliance, reporting requirements, service levels, and capital life-cycle replacement delivered by Project Co under the terms of the IIAIP Project Agreement. The Manager, Airport Operations serves as the GN’s principal representative on all matters pertaining to operation and maintenance of the Iqaluit Airport, including management of lands and leases designated as Commissioner’s Airport Lands. In addition, the Manager is responsible for exploring and undertaking initiatives outside the Project Agreement which may include future improvements to infrastructure, services, or operations at the Iqaluit Airport.

This position also involves planning and managing other airport related initiatives and improvements; providing expert advice to the GN in aviation matters; and participating in development of policies regarding airports and other transportation services in Nunavut.

As a senior advisor in matters of aviation and other modes of transportation, the Manager will be expected to play a key role in advising other senior government officials and developing policy to benefit transportation and economic development activities in Nunavut. The Manager, Iqaluit Airport Operations reports to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Transportation located in Iqaluit and has a support staff of two (2) specialists:

•               Revenue and Contracts Officer

•               Iqaluit Airport Compliance Officer

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are usually obtained through a university degree from a recognized institution in Aviation Management, Aviation Operations, Engineering, Law, Business or another related field. A minimum of six (6) years’ experience in Airport Operations is required with three (3) years’ supervisory experience. This is a Position of Trust, and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required.

Position Summary

Conducts operational activities of airport access services including fingerprinting, verifying identity and eligibility documents, security/ramp driving training requirements and documentation.
Ensures the verification and accountability of airport security access throughout the Albuquerque International Sunport and DEII Airport.
Process a high volume of access applications while maintaining an accurate and secure database; compile statistical information for various department divisions and outside government agencies. Audit the database for expired badges and unresolved fingerprint or STA issues.
Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures.
Assist all professional staff with routine and/or administrative clerical duties; and perform a variety of duties relative to assigned area of responsibility. Maintain and trouble shoot printers, sub custodian of cash box which includes receiving, handling, posting, or processing payments for services.
Assist higher level staff with the installation and/or removal of high security cores.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of airport security access.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
High school diploma or GED; and

**This role is scheduled as a swing shift and, due to the airport’s 24/7 operations, may require work on weekends and holidays.

 

The Missoula County Airport Authority owns and operates the Missoula Montana Airport (MSO).  Missoula Montana Airport serves the western area of Montana, with a population of approximately 175,256.  Commercial passenger services are provided by Alaska, American, United, Delta, Allegiant, and Sun Country Airlines.  The Airport has direct service to Dallas, Portland, Las Vegas, Phoenix/Mesa, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Denver and Minneapolis with nonstop departures and seasonal service to Chicago, Los Angeles, Oakland, Atlanta, and San Francisco.  The airport has an estimated 50/50 mix of business and leisure travelers.

JOB SUMMARY:  Under general supervision of the Building Maintenance Supervisor, this position provides technical maintenance/repair of airport facilities and performs related duties as required or directed.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (The following are intended to illustrate typical duties; they are not meant to be all inclusive or restrictive.)

Services and maintains all HVAC equipment to include boilers, Roof Top Handling Units, split systems, circulation pumps, compressors, and chillers.

 

Services and maintains plumbing fixtures, hot water heaters, performs pipefitting, soldering, pumps and pump seals.

 

Installs, repairs and troubleshoots electrical wiring, fixtures and circuits. Changes light bulbs and ballasts, replaces motors and motor bearings.

 

Performs work on Jet Bridges, Car Washing equipment, and belt conveyer systems.

 

Works on construction projects including- Welding, metal fabrication, dry wall repair, painting, carpentry, ceramic tile, door hardware and locks.

 

Performs snow removal during winter months, operating heavy equipment. This will include nights, weekends, and holidays outside of the normal shift work.

 

Orders supplies from vendors within budgetary restraints following MCAA’s Procurement Policy.

 

Adheres to all Airport safety and security rules and regulations while performing duties.

 

Performs other functions as requested/assigned to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Airport for all tenants, employees, users, and stakeholders.

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:  Work is performed in both office and outdoor environments, and involves exposure to noise, chemical, and other contaminants, moving mechanical hazards, and extremes of temperature and weather conditions. Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses, to visually detect damage, deterioration, or defects in airport and airfield structures, fixtures, and furnishings which could potentially impact safe airport operations. Must have sufficient auditory ability, with or without audio logical devices, to decipher radio communications, hear alarms, other warning signals, and vehicle signals indicating backward or forward motion. Must be able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 120 decibels and must be able to work in close proximity to 480 volt power sources. Position is subject to shift work outside traditional hours, emergency call out, and extended operating days. Position will experience short notice shift changes. Position requires occasional heavy lifting, up to 75 pounds.

Director of Accounting

Job Summary

This is professional level work, providing leadership, management, coordination and implementation of accounting, budgetary, auditing and administrative functions of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority (JAA). With the benefit of hands-on oversight of all department functions, the Director of Accounting provides leadership support to the Chief Financial Officer by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems that ensure legal/regulatory compliance for the overall accounting and financial reporting functions. Work requires seasoned understanding and application of accounting and financial management theories, principles and practices gained through a combination of education, training and substantial on-the-job experience. Work is performed in an office environment. Operates

a computer using word processing, spreadsheet, database and various accounting software. The work is performed under executive direction and is performed following clearly defined management principles, subject to operating plans, objectives, functional policies and precedents. The work requires frequent use of judgement in search of appropriate solutions to any challenges facing the finance department.

Essential Functions

  • Directs and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
  • Oversees and actively participates in the general accounting, accounts receivable/collection, accounts payable, fixed assets, projects and grants and payroll functions of the finance department.

Position Summary (Primary Function)

Responsible for performing daily grounds and airfield maintenance.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Participates in safety programs and safety training, and must have total commitment, and compliance with all company safety and environmental policies.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • This position requires airfield and ramp driver permitting. This individual is responsible for knowing driving procedures and rules and for successfully completing annual refresher training.
  • This individual is responsible for becoming progressively more knowledgeable in their assigned tasks, procedures, techniques and required tools to maximize efficiency.
  • Daily cleanup of grounds, roadways, AOA areas, to include trash and debris removal on airport property.
  • Performs airfield grounds maintenance including pavement inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, pavement markings, gate and fence repair, erosion control, grass mowing, grading, sweeping, FOD removal, and any other grounds maintenance activities necessary for compliance with 14 CFR Part 139.
  • Maintains proper grades at pavement shoulders, NAVAIDs, manholes, drop inlets, and other airfield appurtenances to comply with 14 CFR Part 139.
  • Maintains drop inlets, outfalls, riprap ditches, detention ponds, and other storm water drainage system components to enable proper drainage and ensure ponding does not occur.
  • Maintains perimeter fencing, gates; performs right of way maintenance to include mowing, trimming, and spraying of sewer line, fiber optic, and select power ROW’s.
  • Performs maintenance of painted lines and markings on runway, taxiways, aprons, parking lots, garages, and roadways.
  • Performs inspections and repairs to all airport concrete and asphalt pavements; to include runway, taxiway, apron, roadways, sidewalks, and parking areas.
  • Cuts grass on and around airfield, edge lights, signs, light lanes, and fence lines.
  • Clears brush on hillsides, drainage ditches, and fence lines around airfield.
  • Assists in the installation of landscape plants, beds, and turf and irrigation systems.

  • Physical Demand – Must be physically able to use the Personal Protective Equipment required for the job. Will be required to work in dusty environments (e.g. concrete sawing or grinding) and toxic environments (applying pesticides and herbicides) wearing appropriate PPE without adverse side effects. Must be able to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, rain and snow in a noisy environment. Will be required to work from ladders and lifts. Will be required to perform strenuous physical activities such as digging, using a backpack blower, jack hammer, chain saw, and other such tools necessary for airfield and grounds maintenance activities. Engage in sustained physical exertion and perform arduous work under adverse conditions and maintain physical fitness pertinent to the work. Frequent bending and stooping. Will be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. May be exposed to noise levels greater than55db. PPE will be provided.
  • Mental and/or Visual Demand – Mental and visual demands are high and vary with function performed. Consistent mental attention is needed to respond safely and efficiently. Frequent work or travel in or near roadways, parking areas, and aircraft ramp areas require constant vigilance of aircraft, vehicle, and equipment traffic.
  • Attentiveness to work procedures will reduce potential risk of injury in work areas.
  • Exposed to normal office, shop environment, and normal industrial/aviation environments.

Airport Field Maintenance Division Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Promotes and cultivates the Aviation Department Culture as a member of the Aviation Department Leadership Team.
• Leads the division to include hiring, scheduling, training, evaluations, discipline, and labor relations.
• Prepares and manages a multi-million-dollar budget to include contracts, procurement, supplies and equipment.

• Prepares for and supervises snow and ice control efforts, including mechanical removal of contaminants and application of ice control materials in support of the MCI Snow and Ice Control Plan.

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure divisional customer relations are maintained.
