The Position

The Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Environmental Compliance & Planning Team. The successful candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills, highly defined organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple and varying projects. This is a professional staff position responsible for assisting the Environmental Compliance & Planning department with the environmental programs at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW), Page Field (FMY) and Mitigation Park. Work is performed under the direction of the LCPA Environmental Specialist.

The anticipated bi-weekly starting salary for the ideal candidate is between $2,452.47 – $2,942.40

Key Responsibilities

•      Input information regarding permitting and compliance key milestones in the Environmental Management System

•      Responsible for the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Spill Prevention Control Countermeasures (SPCC) programs at FMY and RSW

•      Ensure proper storage tank registrations, tests, repairs and compliance

•      Required to respond to spills and assist with remediation projects

•      Assist with land management and hydrologic monitoring programs at RSW and Mitigation Park

•      Assist with LCPA’s Hazardous Wildlife Management Program and Hazardous Wildlife Working Group

•      Responsible for LCPA sustainability planning and initiatives

•      Responsible for RSW irrigation and dewatering permitting and compliance

Minimum Requirements
•      Graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with a degree in environmental or related field, or any other equivalent combination of education and experience

•      Must become knowledgeable of state, federal and local laws and regulations governing airports pertaining to environmental compliance

•      Ability to review and analyze environmental technical reports and papers for completeness and accuracy

•      Required to spend time in the field on RSW and FMY airport property and at the offsite 7,000-acre Mitigation Park. Field visits may require use of a four-wheel drive vehicle

Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time. Employees may be called to fulfill duties that are outside their normal scope of work to assist in resuming airport operations and flight activities.

Director of Engineering and Project Delivery – BUR

The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is seeking a Director of Engineering and Project Delivery, a senior leader within the Planning and Development division at Hollywood Burbank Airport, reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, Planning and Development. This pivotal role oversees all engineering design, construction, and development initiatives at the Airport. With direct managerial responsibility over staff and technical consultants, the Director ensures the successful execution of capital improvement projects that support the Airport’s long-term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include:

·        Lead and manage the Engineering Department, including hiring and staff development.

·        Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in engineering or architecture, including staff supervision.

·        Experience with airport capital improvement projects and pavement engineering.

·        PMP or CCM certification is a plus.

·        Familiarity with FAA regulations, public procurement, and budget development.

·        Valid California driver’s license (or ability to obtain) and TSA security clearance eligibility.

Airport Duty Manager

Under general direction, is responsible for operational flow and situational awareness of the San Antonio International Airport Integrated Control Center (AICC). Oversees and manages information that impacts ‘day-of’ operations for airside, landside, and terminals. Exercises direct communication with AICC dispatchers and Divisional representatives. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment. Exercises direct supervision.

Essential Job Functions

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Five (5) years of professional experience in the operations of commercial service airports, airport security, or related experience, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Valid Class “C” Texas Driver’s License.
Must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Security Threat Assessment (STA) and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) upon employment.
Must maintain federally mandated security clearance required to work at an airport at all times.

The Aviation Department of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey seeks an experienced Customer Experience Program Manager who will be responsible for implementing and leading Customer Experience and Airport Employee transformation programs to improve PANYNJ airports rankings in customer satisfaction surveys and revolutionize the customer experience for all.

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Experience, the Customer Experience Program Manager will manage several communications and airport employee enablement programs: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Airport Employee Enablement
• Manage and develop airport employee training and reward and recognition programs to drive courtesy improvements.

Program Management
• Serve as project manager for certain customer experience initiatives – develop project plans, establish milestones, and manage projects deliverables and schedules, including but not limited to the Airport Customer Experience Specialist (ACES) and Social Media Monitoring (SMM) programs
• Lead as the primary central office contract administrator for the department’s ACES, SMM, Virtual Assistance, employee rewards and recognition and employee training contracts.
• Support the procurement of the $180 million multi-facility ACES contract, including but not limited to the coordination of RFP committee sessions, contract authorization process, transition, implementation and program improvement
• Provide support and collaborate with others on programs that support the CX mission
• Drive alignment and the consistent implementation and operation of CX programs and service delivery at all PA airports.
• Document and develop SOPs to institutionalize CX team practices
• Benchmark, identify, and implement customer and employee experience initiatives.
• Work closely with the Customer Experience team, Landside Operations units, as well as external airport partners, to ensure the diverse needs of all segments of customers.

Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
• Bachelor’s Degree in from an accredited college or university.
• Five (5) years in Customer or Employee experience within a complex operations environment, communications, project management or other related business processes.
• Experience aligning cross-functional employee experience programs across multiple stakeholders
• Prior working knowledge and understanding of integrating Customer Experience needs into day-to-day decision making and projects.

The Airport Department is governed by the City Council; the Airport Director is appointed by the City Manager and is responsible for overall airport activities. The Airport Department employs approximately 125 staff and has an annual operating budget of approximately $28 million.

THE POSITION
Under the direction of the Airport Deputy Director, the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) is an at-will employee who manages the Public Affairs, Government Affairs, and Community Affairs engagement and programmatic efforts for the Long Beach Airport (LGB). The Airport PAO coordinates and facilitates communication between LGB, the public, business customers, tenants, and federal, state and local agencies. The key mission of the PAO is to establish and maintain effective two-way communications with the traveling public, news media, the travel and tourism industry and other stakeholder audiences regarding the policies, procedures, services, operations, developments and future plans of LGB. Additionally, the PAO, through the Airport Director, keeps Councilmembers, the Mayor, the City Manager and senior management updated about LGB issues and concerns.

The purpose of the PAO is to influence public policy affecting LGB, build strong, positive relationships with customers, surrounding communities and federal, local and state agencies, and demonstrate how LGB provides a positive economic impact on the community through educational programs, events and the dissemination of timely, accurate information.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Functions performed by the PAO, through subordinates or in concert with others, in most cases are self-initiated, working within broad policy guidelines set by the Airport Director and City Manager.  The PAO is responsible for, among others;

  • All media communications;
  • Web content management;
  • Creation and design of compelling and informative documents;
  • Event planning;
  • Coordination of ambassador and tour guide volunteer programs;
  • Development of recommendations on City and/or Airport position regarding regulatory and legislative proposals;
  • Execution of an environmental communications program to demonstrate LGB’s commitment to sustainability;
  • Responsible for making day-to-day decisions affecting LGB’s Public Affairs, Governmental Affairs and Community Relations needs;
  • Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS TO FILE

EXPERIENCE:
Five (5) years of recent progressively responsible experience including two (2) or more years of recent supervisory experience, working in public relations, governmental affairs and/or public administration.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors’ degree in Public Relations, Governmental Affairs, Public Administration or closely related field is required.
A combination of education/experience can be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Airport experience is highly desirable.
A master’s degree is desirable.

Airport Operations Services Supervisor, Aviation Department

About the Role

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Airport Duty Manager, the Operations Services Supervisor is required to:
  • Perform duties involving the FAA Part 139 airport self-inspection program with an emphasis on Wildlife Hazard Management and Control.
  • AOA Driver Training Instructor, aeronautical construction, direct supervision of Airport Operations Agents and Senior Airport Operations Agents, and various other aeronautical functions including leading snow removal teams on the aeronautical operations area.
  • Participate in Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) control and airport security programs.
  • May conduct Non-Movement Area driver training classes, assists with aeronautical construction.
  • Perform various other aeronautical functions, including leading snow removal teams on the aeronautical operations area.
  • Work in Airport Operations Center (AOC) for monitoring, coordinating, documenting, communicating, and responding to issues as they relate to the safe operation of landside systems such as passenger flow through terminals, parking lots, busing, taxis, and vehicular traffic via CCTV.
  • Duties also include creating and sending Everbridge & Info-alerts when requested by the airports Operational Units and approved by the AOC Manager.
  • Will inspect, communicate, and document discrepancies negatively impacting the customer experience throughout all areas of the terminal. They will also take corrective action to ensure a positive customer experience, including troubleshooting customer-facing technology, providing escorts, installing and maintaining wayfinding, managing stanchion organization/storage, and coordinating effective mitigation measures for unauthorized persons within the terminal.

Additional Information
 Selection Process:
  • The most qualified candidates will advance to take the entry-level Supervisor exam (ESA) to assess supervisor capability, based on results of that assessment, qualified candidates will then be invited to a panel interview where they will be assessed on competency and technical questions related to the Aviation / Aeronautical field.
  • Those that have been successfully placed in the candidate pool and have accepted an offer of employment will be subject to passing a medical exam and background check prior to starting in the position.
Successful candidates:
  • Will be required to work in secure and restricted areas of the airport.
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check as mandated by 49 CFR 1542 and will be required to obtain and maintain an airport Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) with Airfield (Movement Area – DR2) driving and escort privileges.  SIDA access and airfield driving and escort privileges require SIDA training and successful completion of a SIDA test and an airfield movement area check ride.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as normal function of the job, as well as during inclement weather conditions/airport emergencies.
  • Must be able to respond to declared airport emergencies including snow alerts, report to work without delay on a 24-hour, 7-day per week basis, including holidays, and work flexible hours in inclement weather conditions and on an overtime basis, as needed.
  • May be required to work in an office, an operations control center, an airport terminal, outside on the airport grounds and in a Port Authority vehicle.  Work outside may occur in any weather condition with exposure to loud jet noise.
 Minimum Qualifications
  • Must have at least three (3) years full-time paid airport facility operations work experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a shotgun permit upon appointment to the position.

At the heart of this effort is our Airport Integrated Operations Center (AIOC) — the 24/7 nerve center that ensures smooth, safe, and guest-first operations across SFO.

We’re looking for an AIOC Process Development & Impact Coordinator, who will lead the development of the AIOC’s operational framework through process development, while also serving as the central resource for monitoring and mitigating operational impacts. Essential functions and duties include:

– Lead the design, documentation, and maintenance of standardized operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, and process maps for AIOC operations.
– Conduct gap analyses and workflow assessments to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.
– Partner with cross-functional teams to pilot and implement innovative solutions aligned with operational goals and guest service standards.
– Support overall tracking of projects and assist with shutdown notifications and communications to affected stakeholders.

– Partner with Forecasting & Capacity Planning to interpret passenger flow data, traffic patterns, and flight schedules for proactive operational planning.
– Provide daily and periodic operational outlooks to AIOC management, identifying areas of potential impact and recommended mitigations.
– Foster strong working relationships with internal departments, airlines, contractors, and external partners to facilitate seamless coordination.
– Deliver timely, actionable communication on operational impacts, process changes, and mitigation strategies through verbal briefings, written reports, and shared information systems.
– Apply graphical applications models using advanced analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft SQL, etc.).

How to Qualify

Education: Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university, AND

Experience: Five(5) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work. Qualifying professional-level analytical work includes analysis, development, administration, and reporting in major programs and functions of an organization in the areas of budgets, contracts, grants, policy, or other functional areas related to the duties of positions in the 182X Class series.

Senior Manager of Airfield Operations and Compliance

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the general direction of the Director of Airport Operations and Emergency Management, the Senior Manager of Airfield Operations and Compliance is responsible for leading and ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, specifically Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 139, and all associated requirements for the Authority. This role oversees the Airfield Operations Duty Team, manages Part 139 training programs, coordinates airfield construction activities, and implements the Safety Management System (SMS) and Wildlife Hazard Management Programs. The Senior Manager provides leadership, drives innovation in compliance and safety practices, and collaborates with various
departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to maintain regulatory compliance. Requires availability for emergency call-in.
