Seasonal, Equipment Operator

Seasonal employment beginning at the end of September 2025 until mid April 2026. Job applicants may be put on an eligibility list for up to one (1) year.

Regina Airport Authority requires two (2) Seasonal, Equipment Operators. The Seasonal, Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy and light duty equipment to ensure the Regina International Airport (YQR) is operating in a safe, secure, and efficient manner.  The position is accountable for inspecting and maintaining all site wide surfaces, while ensuring compliance with the Aerodromes Standards and Recommended Practices (TP 312) and performs performing general repairs and preventative maintenance work on equipment. The position is responsible for conducting Aircraft Movement Surface Condition Reporting (AMSCR) including Operational Friction Measurement (CRFI) using Global Report Formatting (GRF) and evaluate evaluating airside surfaces as per the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).  The position is accountable for assisting in emergency situations to ensure YQR is always safe and secure.

Responsibilities

·       While promoting safety awareness, perform all duties with an ownership attitude in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

·       Assist with ensuring appropriate incident command response procedures are carried out in the event of an emergency.

·       Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s Mission, Vision, and Corporate Values.

·       Respond to operational emergency situations during and after standard hours of work for the purposes of resolving immediate concerns to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport.

·       Operate various type of heavy equipment including trucks, tractors, excavation equipment, forklifts, commercial snow blowers, runway sweepers through the course of maintenance activities.

·       Perform site-wide hard surface painting and crack sealing while ensuring compliance with the Aerodromes Standards and Recommended Practices (TP 312).

·       Inspect and evaluate condition of runways, taxiways, and aprons as per the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and the Aerodromes Standards and Recommended Practices (TP 312).

·       Maintain airport surface and storm water drainage systems.

·       Provide snow and ice control through the application of specialized de-icing chemicals and aggregates and operating heavy equipment for the removal of snow and ice as per the Winter Maintenance Plan.

·       Conduct Aircraft Movement Surface Condition Reporting (AMSCR) including Operational Friction Measurement (CRFI) using Global Report Formatting.

·       Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of landscaped areas using a variety of equipment to cut grass and apply pesticides and fertilizer.

·       Repair and maintain all airside and groundside surfaces including road safety equipment, perimeter fencing, gates, irrigation systems, potholes, cracks, and concrete/masonry repairs.

·       Control Foreign Object Debris (FOD) on the airfield using specialized removal equipment and manual techniques.

·       Ensure compliance with the Wildlife Management Plan.

·       Remove trash and refuse, clean and wash outdoors spaces and equipment, move heavy inventory items such as bags of salt and chemicals, recycle waste and disposes of hazardous materials while adhering to all relevant organizational, provincial, and federal safety regulations, codes, and specifications.

·       Maintain equipment and conduct minor repairs.

·       Conduct equipment safety checks on equipment.

·       Ensure adherence to the organization’s preventative maintenance program.

·       Ensure safe storage of supplies respecting WHMIS and Federal Halocarbon Regulations.

·       May be required to take on acting responsibilities of other positions within the department.

·       Contribute to and support corporate events, initiatives, and internal committees.

·       Participate in regulatory and corporate prescribed training and development activities.

·       Understand and comply with all Corporate Policies and Procedures.

Education and Professional Experience

Conditions of Employment

·       No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted.

·       Ability to secure and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance, Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP-D), an Industry Canada Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate, and a Firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) within the prescribed employment probationary period.

Operations Safety Coordinator

SUMMARY

An employee in this class is responsible for supporting the Operations division with scheduling, risk mitigation assessment, and assisting with training program implementation.  This employee will support the operations division and work closely with airport authorized representatives and stakeholder management personnel. Incumbents in this position report directly to the Director of Operations at the Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA). The Operations Safety Coordinator works closely with ONT staff as well as all respective contractors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Important and essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Assist operations division with various duties of support including schedule organization, presentations, and regulatory documents.
Conducts safety assurance activities by analyzing operational data to evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.
Develop charts, graphs, and interpretive summaries to support continuous safety performance monitoring.
Assists the team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
Conducts data retrieval and prepares reports utilizing resources.

Airport Operations Duty Manager

As an Airport Operations Duty Manager, you will perform critical airport management functions to ensure the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the entire airport complex.

Airport Operations Duty Manager

Serves in the Airport Operations Department at either Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) or Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Performs airport management functions with responsibility for the safe, efficient, and secure operation of the entire airport complex. Maintains constant awareness of changing conditions, activities, and requirements affecting Airport operations. Maximizes safety and security with minimal disruption to Airport operations. Reacts and responds to incidents, events, problems, and complaints in a professional manner and takes appropriate actions. Performs related functions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains constant awareness of conditions, activities and changing requirements affecting Airport security. Ensures adherence to the Airport’s operations safety standards.

Inspects the operational condition of the Airport complex during each tour of duty and ensures compliance with all related guidelines and requirements. Inspections include but are not limited to landside roads, terminal facilities, airfield runways, taxiways, safety areas, imaginary surfaces, NAVAIDS critical areas and lighting systems.

Directs or initiates action to prevent unsafe operating conditions on the entire Airport complex during inclement weather.

Manages the Airport Operations 24-hour Command Center.

Plans and coordinates movements of the Snow Teams during winter operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Six years of progressively responsible experience in airport or airline operations as a full performance level Operations Officer, or in a comparable job class in airport or airline operations at either a 14 CFR Part 139 certified airport OR six years of military air operations experience, OR a combination of the two provided that totals six years of operations experience and a bachelor’s degree in any field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience leading, or helping to lead, at least one of the following: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport certification; airport, airline, or military security program; recurring disaster/emergency exercises; or the monitoring and coordination of airport construction and maintenance operations.

Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant Federal regulatory requirements governing airports.

Knowledge of aircraft operations, to include navigational and unusual aircraft operating characteristics, and the ability to evaluate aircraft and air traffic and take timely and appropriate action.

QUALIFICATIONS

Three years of experience in airport or airline operations at a 14 CFR Part 139 certified airport OR three years of military airfield operations experience and a bachelor’s degree in any field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge of and ability to apply airport safety and security regulations (e.g., 49 CFR Parts 1542, 1544, and 1546 and 14 CFR Part 139) and skill in applying them to conduct safety and security inspections and investigations, ensure airport security and safety procedures are current, and assist airlines with security requirements.

Participation in, or knowledge of, at least one of the following: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport certification, airport or airline security program, recurring airport or airline disaster/emergency exercises, or the monitoring and coordination of airport construction and maintenance operations.

Airport Operations Supervisor

Under general direction, to develop, supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for providing airfield safety, maintenance, operation, construction, snow removal and Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) services within the Aviation and Transit Department; to develop and implement airport operations and ARFF training programs and emergency response procedures; to train in and respond to aircraft, emergency medical services (EMS) and other airport emergencies; to supervise responses by ARFF equipment and personnel; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility.

Position Summary

Provide ground, facility, labor and airfield maintenance duties for the airport and its facilities working through the Airfield Maintenance Division. Duties include repair of airport equipment, surrounding property, and facilities; operate pavement maintenance equipment to repair airfield surfaces and perform a variety of maintenance tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Position Summary

Assist in ensuring the public safety of the Albuquerque International Sunport by monitoring the airport security systems; operate a multi-line, multi function touch screen telephone system; respond to notifications of air craft incidents/accidents, security incidents, criminal activities and mechanical/janitorial problems and dispatch to appropriate police, operations or maintenance personnel.
