Vice President of Public Safety

The Vice President of Public Safety is responsible for managing the 24/7/365 public safety functions of the airport, including the RDU Law Enforcement Department, the RDU Airport Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) Department, airport security officers, emergency operations, and the Airport Communications Center. Work is performed in accordance with established federal and state regulations, as well as ordinances, policies, and practices approved by the Authority Board and the President and CEO. Work is performed under the supervision of the Senior Vice President and COO and is evaluated through meetings, reports, and personal observation and assessment of the assigned functions. This role plays a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational readiness, organizational resilience, and a culture of safety and security across the Authority.

 

Education:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation/airport management, emergency management, business, engineering, or a closely related field.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

Required:

  • At least 10 years of management experience at a Part 139 certificated airport focusing on managing emergency operations, security, and public safety,
  • 3 or more years’ experience as a Fire Chief, Police Chief, or higher level in airport management at a commercial service airport involving public safety and security.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in large-scale emergency response, crisis management, and interagency coordination.
  • Experience developing and implementing large operational budgets.

Sr. Manager, Payroll

CLASS SUMMARY:

Responsible for the strategic planning and management of payroll and related benefits functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Aviation Director – ABQ

Director of Engineering and Project Delivery

The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority is seeking a Director of Engineering and Project Delivery, a senior leader within the Planning and Development division at Hollywood Burbank Airport, reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, Planning and Development. This pivotal role oversees all engineering design, construction, and development initiatives at the Airport. With direct managerial responsibility over staff and technical consultants, the Director ensures the successful execution of capital improvement projects that support the Airport’s long-term strategic goals.

Position Summary (Primary Function)

The Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the Airport network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable network performance, supports business operations, and protects systems from internal and external threats. The Network Administrator works closely with IT staff, airport tenants, construction contractors, vendors, and end users to troubleshoot issues, implement upgrades, and maintain best-practice network standards.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, and wireless access points, ensuring scalability and high availability.

Update flight information as received from airlines for various changes in scheduled flights; make necessary changes to the Flight Information Display System and Baggage Information Display System.
Monitor matrix security alarm system to determine the nature, location and priority of alarms and relay this critical information to Law Enforcement and/or Terminal and Airfield Maintenance for resolution.
Operate computerized paging system for locating and paging passengers and employees; relay information regarding Airfield operations including closures and emergencies to Airport tenants and employees.
Control manual access to remote gates and doors; maintain control of keys to non-secure areas for authorized personnel.
Receive, catalog, tag and log items turned in to lost and found.  Control items for the required 90-day hold period and dispose according to city Ordinance.
Receive incoming telephone calls; respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. 

High school diploma or GED supplemented by thirty (30) credit hours of college level course work in general studies; and

Three (3) years of experience in any of the following areas:

radio operations
computer operations
switchboard operations
data entry
One (1) year of processing public service calls is preferred.

Must pass Drug Test, Hearing Test and Background check.

Possession of a NCIC Certification within one (1) year from date of hire.

Position Summary 

Oversee and coordinate maintenance, construction, renovation and property management operations and activities for assigned City and/or County facilities; establish schedules and methods for providing facility operation services; implement program goals and objectives and perform a variety of administrative, professional and technical tasks in support of assigned area of responsibility.

Establish schedules and methods for providing facility operation services; identify resource needs; review needs with appropriate vendors, contractors and/or management staff; allocate resources accordingly.
Monitor program performance; recommend and implement modifications to systems and procedures.
Organize, schedule and implement maintenance operations activities and other related programs.
Review and approve all alterations to the electrical, mechanical and structural components and other related facilities; develop and maintain safety measures and emergency evacuation procedures.
Conduct inspections of the interior and exterior of facilities; ensure facilities comply with all Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations.
Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
Participate in the selection of facilities operations staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures.
Maintain records and develop reports concerning new or ongoing programs and program effectiveness; maintain records for maintenance operations; maintain and file management and insurance reports; prepare statistical reports as required.
Participate in the preparation and administration of assigned budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in construction management, civil engineering, or business administration; and

Five (5) years of facilities management or construction management experience; and

To include two (2) years of supervisory experience

Possession of any of the following State of New Mexico issued qualifying licenses preferred: General Building (GB-98), Master Mechanical (MM-98), Electrical Engineering (EE-98).

When assigned to Aviation: Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).  Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protections, if applicable.
