The Electrician at the Orlando Sanford International Airport, operated by the Sanford Airport Authority, performs duties to maintain the electrical systems in the Air Operations Area (AOA), Terminal, and SAA properties, where only general methods are available in the making of broad decisions requiring considerable initiative and ingenuity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Work from work orders to maintain the electrical systems throughout the airport properties.
• Maintain and inspect all electrical on the airfield for proper functionality. Repair runway lights, taxiway lights, signage regulators, and airfield computers. Access systems through an electric vault.
• Create and file reports regarding airfield repair, replacement, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain roadway, street lighting and industrial lighting.
• Respond to needs for repairs and electrical issues on SAA properties. Replace electrical panels, breakers, outlets, light switches, lights, and disconnects. Replace and repair bad wiring. Check and replace exit signage as needed.
• Assist the Maintenance Staff as needed.

Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
• Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge about new developments, requirements, and policies.

Patrol grounds for suspicious items, vehicles, and cleanliness, ensuring the functionality of doors, gates, and lighting.
Check ground transportation for proper permitting.

Line Service Representative

Airport Escort Supervisor

Airport Operations Assistant Specialist

Your Role:
As a member of the CAA Airport Operations team, this role is responsible for adhering to all aspects of BDL’s Airport Certification Manual (ACM), which includes mandatory requirements set forth by Federal Aviation Regulations described under Part 139. This position is required under Part 139 to satisfy requirements for airfield inspections, implementing the Snow and Ice Control Plan, coordinating aircraft and non-aviation emergencies, responding to hazards from wildlife, and other situations that can be hazardous to aircraft operations.

Work is performed independently under the direction of the finance manager with oversight from the director of finance. Supervision of staff level employees will be required.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepares various accounting and audit schedules throughout the fiscal year

•Prepares and posts general journal entries accurately and in a timely manner

•Provides management team with accurate, comprehensive financial information

•Prepares surveys conducted by government agencies

•Performs monthly reconciliations

•Assist with the Page Field accounting functions to include financial reporting and analysis

•Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting procedures, particularly those related to new Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) regulations

•Assists in determining compliance with finance-related laws, rules and regulations (internal reviews and audits)

•Maintains and monitors fixed assets in accordance with Florida Statute inventory requirements

•Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

•Considerable knowledge of general accounting theory and financial reporting

•Familiarity with fiscal principles, practices and reporting

•Ability to perform accounting procedures in the maintenance of fiscal accounting records; perform detailed work involving written or numeric data and make mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately, avoiding errors in recordkeeping

•Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively, be highly organized and have a methodical approach to daily work

•Ability to summarize analyze and reconcile financial and accounting data and prepare fiscal reports

•Ability to communicate effectively with others and at various levels of an organization; technical skills, both verbal and written

•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in accounting, finance, or business

• Three to five years of professional accounting and/or finance experience

•Considerable knowledge of personal computer and financial accounting software, such as integrated spreadsheets and databases to include strong Excel skills

•A valid Florida driver’s license is required within 30 days of hire

Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time. The Fort Smith Airport Commission is seeking an Airport Director for Fort Smith Regional Airport who will serve as the chief executive responsible for managing daily operations and guiding the long-term development of the airport. The Aviation Security & Public Safety Department is seeking an Airport Coordination Center Specialist with a strong background in dispatching and coordinating fast-paced operations.  The selected candidate will be a self-motivated professional with proven experience in handling sensitive responsibilities independently and with initiative. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are essential, as this role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth, real-time coordination and efficient dispatching within a dynamic airport environment. This role is a Limited Duration role with a term ending December 2027, with the possibility to transition into a permanent position.

 

What You’ll Do:

Handles the receipt, screening, and transmission of routine and emergency calls from tenants, passengers, and staff, ensuring prompt and effective communication through established dispatch protocols. Monitors access control, video surveillance, and other security systems to assess the location and severity of situations.

Coordinates responses by dispatching and relaying critical information to law enforcement, fire personnel, first responders, and internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient and accurate communication during both routine and emergency operations.

Provides customer service to stakeholders; assists with public and tenant concerns and complaints; completes airport notifications on weather, evacuations, or critical situations; analyzes situations and resolves operational issues.

Acts as initial contact on operational issues with stakeholders, contractors, and the public; communicates with and provides information to governmental agencies. Dispatches and coordinates timely mobilization of resources and continuous situational awareness during incidents, emergencies, or high-impact events.

Works rotational work shifts including; day, night, overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Documents calls, activities, and emergencies; gathers and disseminates information; maintains records and documentation; performs other duties as assigned.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

    Obtains price quotes and prepares and finalizes contractual agreements with printing companies for graphic production;

  • Collaborates with the Assistant Curator of Public Engagement to promote programs through social media, email campaigns, and print media;

How to qualify

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in the fine arts, art history, decorative arts, design, history, library science, museum studies, natural history, science, technology, or other closely related disciplines.

Experience: Three (3) years of museum experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with website design and management;
  • Experience with the design and production of printed materials such as exhibition brochures and catalogues, promotional material, and stationery;
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Bridge, and After Effects;
