The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is seeking a Manager, Airfield Operations for the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF). This position is responsible for leading and overseeing key operational and maintenance functions that ensure safe, compliant, and efficient airfield activity. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Aviation, this role manages critical infrastructure and personnel, enforces FAA regulations, and ensures airfield operations align with the Airport Certification Manual and Part 139 requirements.

This position plays a central role in maintaining airport safety, operational readiness, and regulatory compliance. The Manager supervises multiple departments including airfield operations, electrical systems, equipment maintenance, and landscape services. Working closely with leadership and airport stakeholders, this individual ensures that policies, safety procedures, and operational goals are consistently met while maintaining high service standards for passengers, cargo, and general aviation users.

Key responsibilities include:

·        Lead and coordinate airfield operations and support departments, ensuring compliance with FAA 14 CFR Part 139.

·        Maintain the Airport Certification Manual and issue NOTAMs and pilot advisories as needed.

·        Supervise staff, manage performance evaluations, and oversee disciplinary actions, promotions, and hiring decisions.

·        Prepare and manage operating and capital improvement budgets.

·        Establish priorities, track trends, and report performance metrics monthly.

·        Ensure readiness and effectiveness of airfield snow removal operations.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in business administration, aviation, or a related field.

·        Minimum of five years’ experience at a Part 139 airport in airfield operations, general aviation, and cargo services.

·        An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

·        Demonstrated experience with airport facilities, snow removal, regulatory compliance, and maintenance procedures.

Airport Maintenance Services Manager (Electrical)

Kind of Work

Highly responsible supervisory administrative and technical work directing and coordinating the work of electricians and maintenance personnel engaged in the construction, installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of high, medium and low-voltage electrical, communications and electronics systems, including panel boards, communication systems, interior and exterior lighting systems, airport runway lighting systems, electrical circuits, generators, electrical pumps and motors, and related systems, devices and equipment.

May be called upon to participate in the performance of electrical work, troubleshoot electrical problems, review and update complex electrical plans, confer with contractors, consultants, and local, state, and federal government agencies regarding proposed and existing electrical construction work for electrical code compliance.  Monitors all aspects of project activities until completed, documents problems, recommends solutions, prepares maintenance schedules and associated job plans, produces purchase requisitions for materials used, prepares reports which include status of projects etc.  Responds to all electrical emergencies and performs additional duties as assigned or required; and related work as required.

*This position is considered essential.  Employees in this assignment must report to work for natural disasters or other declared emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications

A valid driver’s license. * Applicants must be eligible for coverage under the airport’s auto liability insurance policy.
An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university. *

A valid Class “A” Master Electrical License* or a Louisiana State Electrical License. Out-of-area licenses are acceptable.  However, if hired, the candidate must show proof of an active Class “A” Master Electrical License with the City of New Orleans or a Louisiana State Electrical License within one hundred and twenty (120) days of hire.  Failure to do so will result in termination.

Eight (8) years of full-time paid experience as a licensed electrician with at least five (5) years of this experience at an airport facility.

Eight (8) years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance engineering, design, commissioning, maintenance, or manufacturing, with at least five (5) years of recent experience in large and complex work environments such as hospitals, municipalities, post-secondary campuses, or industrial plants and must have included journeyman level electrical work.  AND At least three (3) years of lead-level or supervisory experience managing teams.

Senior Manager of Airport Operations center

SENIOR MANAGER OF AIRPORT OPERATIONS CENTER

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of the Director of Airfield Operations and Emergency Management, the Senior Manager of Airport Operations Center is responsible for overseeing the Authority’s 24/7/365 Airport Operations Center (AOC) which serves as the central hub for all airport operations. This role involves proactive management and leadership of key airport systems, including customer processing and movement, emergency management functions, fire suppression detection, and radio and telephone communications supporting critical systems such as elevators, escalators, and shuttles.  This position coordinates directly with the Tampa Airport Police Department, who leads the 911 Public Safety (Police, Fire, EMS) communications within the operations center but does not directly supervise the public safety dispatchers.  The Senior Manager position is responsible for managing an AOC Operations Manager and a team of approximately 20 dispatchers on rotating shifts. This position will lead the growth of the AOC to an integrated operations center involving multiple stakeholders and additional monitoring and communication technologies to support the continued growth and innovative technologies to support the organization into the future.

Requires availability for emergency call-in and emergency response for EOC activations.

Director of Engineering and Construction

The Lee County Port Authority (LCPA) is seeking a Director of Engineering and Construction. This is a senior leadership role responsible for all aspects of engineering and construction management at Southwest Florida International Airport and Page Field. This position ensures the successful delivery of large-scale capital improvement projects, totaling hundreds of millions in value, by balancing scope, schedule, and budget while aligning with operational goals and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director of Development, this leader works in close coordination with cross-functional departments, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies including the FAA, FDOT, TSA and local agencies.

Key responsibilities include:

·        Directs project planning, design, procurement and construction phases of airport development projects

·        Leads coordination with consultants, contractors, staff and regulatory agencies

·        Oversees project budgets, schedules, forecasts and documentation

·        Supports FAA Airport Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP) development and grant compliance

·        Participates in contract negotiations, design milestones and project meetings

·        Manages staff hiring, performance and professional development

Preferred Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or construction management/science or related field; advanced certifications (PE, PMP, CCM, etc.) preferred

·        Minimum 5 years’ senior-level experience managing large-scale capital projects, preferably in a public or airport setting

·        An equivalent combination of education, training and experience, including work with increasingly demanding management responsibility may be considered

·        Strong knowledge of professional service contracts, project delivery methods, and regulatory compliance

·        Ability to obtain a Florida PE license (if not already held) and SIDA clearance

·        Proven leadership in managing construction teams and coordinating with diverse stakeholders

Role description
Working within the Museum’s administrative team, the 3542 Curator II-Assistant Curator of Public Engagement researches, writes content for, posts, and manages responses to the Museum’s social media feeds; maintains a cohesive social media strategy; oversees and responds to the Museum’s public-facing email account; enables and provides tours and post-security visits to art and exhibitions; and maintains records related to the Museum’s technology assets. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Museum Affairs. The position works with all levels of Museum and Airport staff, coordinates with various departments within the Airport, and has regular communication with outside individuals and organizations; has regular communication with the public at large; and provides technological support to all Museum staff and is responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of the Macintosh computers.

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Develop and execute interesting, informative, and original written and visual content for social media channels related to Museum exhibitions, collection, activities, and aviation history; create and maintain weekly and monthly content calendars.
  • Conduct research on objects within the aviation collection, key figures and dates within aviation history, and information related to the history of San Francisco International Airport.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to discuss and review content ideas; participate in exhibition planning and development meetings.
  • Manage postings on social media channels including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, and X.
  • Monitor, measure, and continually update best practices by platform. Create and maintain written guides by platform; review and update annually. Identify new or existing platforms and/or means and methods of digital communication to effectively share and respond to internal and/or external Museum information.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries from the public received through social media and/or public-facing email accounts; monitor and respond (if appropriate) to: social media posts by other museums, organizations, and people; key hashtags; influences; and Museum fans.
  • Coordinate and assist in leading tours for visitors behind the scenes and through security checkpoints. Assist in the coordination of M-badge use and visits.
  • Track the Museum’s technology equipment (computers, monitors, laptops, etc.). Perform annual inventory reviews. Serve as Museum liaison with IT (Information Technology). Assist staff with routine upgrades and software installations; report upgrade and/or replacement needs to supervisor. Produce, maintain, and update policies and procedures for common hardware/software issues. Review and update existing guides annually.
    Review and edit exhibition text, brochures, and blog posts.
  • Provide technology-related “how to” trainings as-needed to Museum staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

How to qualify
Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in the fine arts, art history, decorative arts, design, history, library science, museum studies, natural history, science, technology, or other closely related disciplines. AND
Experience: Three (3) years of museum experience.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, and a background and/or knowledge of marketing, public relations, art history, museum-based education and/or museum operations.
  • Passion for, knowledge of, and experience with various social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.), social media analytics tools, and Google Analytics.
  • Ability to accurately and effectively represent SFO Museum as the broadcast voice of the organization over social media.

Position Summary (Primary Function)

This is skilled firefighting work in combating, extinguishing and preventing aircraft, structural, ground equipment and other fires: in answering emergency calls, and in operation and maintenance of fire department equipment, apparatus and station facilities. Work involves training for and participating in duties of protecting life and property by firefighting and rescue activities, usually under close supervision. Employees of this class are required to learn and participate in the operation of apparatus and the performance of hazardous tasks under such handicaps as smoke and cramped surroundings. Although firefighting and rescue work are the most difficult and responsible areas of activity, the major portion of time is spent in routine duties in the care and maintenance of fire department property and equipment, training and studying methods, techniques, and organization. Specific orders and directions are given by Lieutenants or Battalion Chiefs, but the work requires initiative and a thorough individual understanding of firefighting methods.

Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Respond to a variety of rescue calls to include aircraft rescue, medical, high angle rescue and confined space rescue. Respond to motor vehicle accidents with entrapment requiring complex use of tools to remove victims from the wreckage.
  • Ensure the station apparatus, equipment and spare equipment are maintained in good condition and ready for service at all times.
  • Responsible for ensuring all daily, weekly, semi-annual and annual vehicle and equipment inspections are completed.
  • Responsible for prompt and proper completion of required reports.
  • Assist in the implementation of the Airport Emergency Plan and respond accordingly.
  • Attend required training classes and train other district employees as needed.
  • Responds to all calls dispatched to, both on and off District property.
  • Responsible for driving emergency vehicles, navigating, operating the audible warning devices, listening to and responding to radio communications.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safe response and arrival of crew and apparatus to emergency scenes when driving apparatus.
  • Assist or conduct all fire prevention classes and inspections while on shift.
  • This position requires uncommon tours of duty to include but not limited to weekends, holidays, rotating shift assignments and overtime duty.
  • Will be subject to recall after normal duty hours.

  • A thorough working knowledge of fire service operations.
  • Be able to maintain required training certifications.
  • Ability to work under a unified command system.
  • Be able to successfully complete both an annual occupational fitness evaluation and an annual occupational medical evaluation in accordance with NFPA 1582 standards, designed for the performance and requirements of the job. Must be able to maintain standards year-round.
  • Obtain and hold an Airport driver’s permit and be able to drive all fire department vehicles including those with automatic or manual transmissions.
  • Obtain GSP Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Qualification (within 6 months of hire)

Minimum Qualifications or Standards Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

To perform this work successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Moving equipment such as fans, rescue gear, axes, pike poles, K-12 saw, hand tools and hose lines to the fire area wearing full turn out gear.
  • Entering aircraft to perform engine shutdown, emergency egress of passengers and crew members and or aircraft firefighting.
  • Breaking through a roof while on a ladder or a pitched roof.
  • Using axes, chain saws, hand saws, pike pole and other power equipment sometimes in confined areas.
  • Rescuing a victim from a roof or window using ladder.
  • Moving victims from a damaged automobile or collapsed buildings.
  • Fighting fire for extended time periods and conducting lengthy extrication procedures (automobile pileups, industrial fires, plane crashes) often in awkward positions.
  • Working over head for extended periods of time during ventilation, salvage and overhaul.
  • Firefighting tasks with increased fatigue.
  • Added weight of SCBA and breathing apparatus restricting movement.
  • Working with decreased visibility.

Hazards

  • Exposed to fall hazards from climbing ladders or stairs; exposed to burn and smoke/gas inhalation hazards from working around fires and/or combustible materials; exposed to electrical shock hazards, especially if working around electrical lines; exposed to fast moving traffic at MVA scenes.

Cognitive/Psychosocial Requirements

The following mental/psychosocial functions are considered essential for the performance of the duties of this position:

  • Cope with and perform under chaotic and emergency situations; guide and communicate with victims who may be distressed, incoherent, English-limited, or who may be children.
  • Ability to maintain focus on task while integrating information from multiple, simultaneous sources such as radio communications, and communications from fellow Fire Fighters.
  • Adapt quickly and efficiently to changing, priorities, tasks, emergencies and environmental circumstances.

Interpersonal Communication

  • Requires the ability to communicate with people to convey or exchange professional information.

Motor Coordination

  • Requires the ability to utilize job related equipment in the course of accomplishing job duties and tasks associated with respective primary duties. Firefighters assist in general maintenance of tools, apparatus and quarters as directed.

Interpersonal Temperament

  • Requires the ability to interact with people (i.e. staff, supervisors, general public and elected officials) beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, firefighters and the general public.
