William Wright

Bill joined Edmonton Airports in 2009, where he has overseen legal services on a broad range of general corporate and commercial issues for Edmonton Airports over the last 14 years, with an emphasis on commercial leasing/licensing, real estate development, insurance and corporate/risk governance. The Legal department at Edmonton Airports oversees all aspects of the organization’s legal requirements including oversight of internal audit and risk management. Prior to Edmonton Airports, Bill worked in-house for a major utility services company for 6 years and before that was in private practice for a mid-sized law firm in the areas of corporate securities and general corporate/commercial law. Bill earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Manitoba (1997) and law degree from the University of Alberta (2000) and was called to the Alberta bar in 2001. Prior to law school, Bill flew for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a commissioned officer for approximately 12 years.
