Debi Marshall has served as the Director of Human Resources at the Syracuse Regional Airport Authority since 2017 and has helped lead the organization in its growth from 15 to 140 employees, including most recently with its implementation of a brand new police department. Marshall has 15 years of progressive human resources experience in non-profit, public sector, and for-profit organizations. Her previous experience includes Human Resources Generalist at the Upper New York Conference of The United Methodist Church, and prior to that with the Auburn Enlarged City School District working in personnel and as district clerk for the board of education. Marshall’s previous experience also includes work as an Editor and Research Analyst for AMRIC Associates, a private investigative firm, focused on workers compensation claims investigations and background checks. Marshall earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development from St. John Fisher College, a Bachelor’s degree in English/Writing Arts, from SUNY College at Oswego, and most recently a Certificate for Diversity and Inclusion in Human Resources from Cornell. Marshall was awarded the Leadership Award for the St. John Fisher College Human Resource Development graduate program in 2009, and Employee of the Year for Syracuse Regional Airport Authority in 2019. Marshall is currently the Vice-Chair for the ACI-NA DEI working group, and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources through HRCI (PHR), and a Society for Human Resources Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
