Airports Council Statement on State of the Union

WASHINGTON – Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) President and CEO Kevin M. Burke today issued the below statement on President Biden’s State of the Union address. ACI-NA is the trade association representing commercial service airports in the United States and Canada.

“For years, airports have struggled to keep up with consistent and growing infrastructure needs, and it’s good to see the administration recognizes the importance of addressing the challenges our industry faces. With the right resources, airports are able to support jobs, help ensure the flow of commerce, keep passengers safe, and contribute in meaningful ways to local economic across the country. The funding provided in the recent bipartisan infrastructure legislation — which the President signed into law last year — is a good start in helping to support these efforts, and we look forward to continuing to work with the administration, policymakers, and stakeholders to achieve these important goals.”
