Airports Council Congratulates Mullin on Confirmation as Homeland Security Secretary

WASHINGTON – Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA), the trade association representing commercial service airports in the United States and Canada, today congratulated Senator Markwayne Mullin on his confirmation to serve as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

“I congratulate Senator Markwayne Mullin on his confirmation to serve as Secretary of the Department Homeland Security,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. “The Department of Homeland Security and its component agencies, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Transportation Security Administration, are essential partners to airports, working collaboratively to ensure the security of air travel and to facilitate global connectivity. As the DHS shutdown continues, we urge Congress and the Trump Administration to swiftly restore critical funding to the Department of Homeland Security to support its workforce and sustain its vital mission.”
