ACI-NA Welcomes Neffenger’s Confirmation to be TSA Administrator

WASHINGTON — Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) issued the following statement in response to the confirmation of Vice Admiral Peter V. Neffenger to be the next Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

“Providing for the safety and security of the traveling public requires forward thinking collaboration between federal agencies and aviation industry stakeholders, including airports and airlines,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. “Vice Admiral Neffenger’s background in crisis management and port security will be valuable in continuing TSA’s leadership in aviation security. Now that he has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate, ACI-NA looks forward to working with him and his team at TSA to further advance risk-based security initiatives that help to ensure the safety and security of the traveling public.”
