WASHINGTON, DC  ̶  Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) President and CEO Kevin M. Burke today congratulated retired Marine General John F. Kelly on his selection as President-Elect Donald J. Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“As demand for travel continues to grow, we must stay ahead of threats by implementing innovative risk-based approaches to facilitate a secure and efficient passenger experience. Part of that work includes ensuring the Transportation Security Administration and U.S. Customs and Border Protection have sufficient staffing resources to meet current and emerging challenges at airports across the country.  We look forward to working collaboratively with General Kelly and Congress on our shared commitment of providing the safest and most secure air travel experience possible.”
