ACI-NA Commends Service of Representative James Oberstar

WASHINGTON—Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA) today issued the following statement on the death of former U.S. Representative James “Jim” Oberstar:

“Airport directors throughout the United States were saddened to learn of the death of Jim Oberstar, longtime member and former Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke.  “His dedication to modernizing airport infrastructure resulted in a safer and more secure aviation industry.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.”
