Victoria Airport Authority (VAA) has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Development Officer (CDO) to join our team.

Reporting to the Vice President, Revenue Strategy and Business Development, the CDO plays a key role in supporting YYJ’s commercial programs with a primary focus on in-terminal concessions and public parking/ground transportations operations. This role ensures that concession operators and parking/ground transportation service providers deliver excellent customer service, meet contractual obligations, and maximize revenue opportunities. This position also supports other areas of commercial development including land development and permitting and knowledge of the full commercial portfolio is an asset.

This is a unionized position working at 37.50-hour work week during regular administrative office hours. In addition to a competitive salary, this role includes a comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension plan.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business (preferred focus in business development, administration, marketing, or property management).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, operations, marketing, or client management, preferably in an airport or related industry.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of concessions, parking, and commercial operations, including leases and licenses.
  • Familiarity with airport operations, safety regulations, and customer service standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, and to manage multiple priorities.

Required Security Clearance

  • Within six (6) months of hire the successful candidate must obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Airport Security Clearance (RAIC)
