The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities seeks an Airport Manager for the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). We are seeking an experienced leader with a robust background in aviation operations, capital programs, and marketing. Key Responsibilities:

·        Oversee and coordinate the efficient, safe operations of the airport.

·        Ensure adherence to aviation regulations and standards.

·        Promote the airport as a premier international transportation hub.

·        Foster positive relationships with airlines, passengers, and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing airport operations, including airfield maintenance, terminal management, and ground services, ensuring compliance with safety and security regulations. They will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of effectively overseeing teams, handling labor relations, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, TSA guidelines, and other relevant aviation laws, ensuring regulatory compliance. They should have a proven ability in emergency response and crisis management, coordinating with various agencies to ensure safety. Strong financial acumen is essential, with experience in budget planning and management. The candidate should be committed to exceptional customer service, strategic planning, and development, with a history of enhancing airport facilities and services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective stakeholder interaction. The candidate should also have strong project management skills, problem-solving abilities, technological proficiency, and experience in public relations and community engagement.

Salary & Benefits

The starting salary is targeted to be between $200,000 – $250,000 coupled with an attractive benefit package. A starting salary above this range may be achievable for the exceptional candidate.
