Director, Maintenance and Engineering

SkyCity is seeking a Director, Maintenance and Engineering to oversee maintenance operations at our airports, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability. This leadership role involves managing our third-party O&M service provider, maintaining critical airport infrastructure, and developing long-term capital improvement plans. All of the day-to-day maintenance and engineering services will be provided by a third-party O&M service provider. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, enforce high safety standards, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure seamless airport functionality.

Key Responsibilities include:

·        Oversee third-party O&M service provider, ensuring contract compliance and optimal service delivery.

·        Develop and implement maintenance programs for airside and landside infrastructure, including power, water, telecommunications, and building systems.

·        Development in coordination with our O&M services provider the annual O&M budget.

·        Ensure strict adherence to FAA Part 139 regulations and other applicable codes.

·        Development in coordination with our client and O&M services provider the annual Airport Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP), for both airfield and building assets.

·        Lead capital improvement initiatives, managing project planning, budgeting, and execution.

·        Maintain strong relationships with airlines, airport tenants, and regulatory agencies.

·        Monitor service provider performance to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness and contract compliance.

·        Provide technical guidance on operational and engineering matters.

·        Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements in coordination with SkyCity HSE department.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of experience in maintenance and engineering leadership.

·        Expertise in airport maintenance, airline operations, and regulatory compliance including property management and the administration of leases, licenses and contracts.

·        Proven experience in capital planning, contract administration, and infrastructure management.

·        Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
