SkyCity is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a crucial role in the redevelopment and delivery of the Cyril E. King and Henry E. Rohlsen Airports in the U.S. Virgin Islands. This dynamic position is part of a Public-Private Partnership with the Virgin Islands Airport Authority. The CFO will oversee financial operations for the project’s special purpose entity (Company) through its development and delivery phases.

The CFO will be a key executive, driving the financial strategy, infrastructure development, and compliance for this ambitious airport redevelopment. Initially, the CFO will focus on establishing foundational policies and securing project financing. Post-financial close, the CFO will strategically lead a complex financial organization and manage the Company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with agreements and optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities include:

·        Establish and oversee financial management policies, procedures, and IT systems.

·        Administer accounting, tax, cash flow, and regulatory obligations, including grant compliance.

·        Prepare and maintain GAAP and IFRS-compliant financial statements and reports.

·        Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

·        Manage relationships with auditors, lenders, rating agencies, airlines, and aviation authorities.

·        Lead financial analysis, trend forecasting, and decision-making as part of the executive team.

·        Ensure compliance with financial obligations under project and finance agreements.

·        Oversee insurance, capital assets, cash flow, and surplus investment management.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred), MBA or equivalent experience preferred.

·        15+ years of senior financial leadership experience as a CFO or Controller at an airport(s) and/or with major airport projects.

·        Project Finance experience including complex financial modelling is essential.

·        Project Finance or Public-Private Partnership experience is highly desirable.

·        Track record of managing high-stakes financial operations and compliance.
