Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) seeks an experienced Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. Reporting to the President & CEO, this role leads all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, funding, audits, compliance, and strategic planning. SFB serves over 2.87 million passengers annually and drives a $3.5 billion economic impact. You’ll guide financial strategy, mentor a skilled finance team, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the airport’s fiscal health. Requirements 
The Vice President of Finance/CFO will:

  • Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, shaping vision, strategy, and capital planning.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment strategies to maximize revenue and mitigate risk.
  • Present financial results, analysis, and variance reports to internal and public stakeholders.
  • Oversee accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP, GASB, FAA, FDOT, and other governing bodies.
  • Manage cash flow, grant funding, contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Partner with bankers, attorneys, and advisors to secure favorable funding for capital projects.
  • Implement and optimize financial systems, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient workflows.
  • Collaborate with leadership on emergency management cost recovery.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members to foster collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years as CFO or equivalent; 10+ years total finance/accounting experience.
  • Airport, aviation, or governmental finance experience required.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing audits, grants, FAA AIP and PFC programs, and investment portfolios.

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Preferred: CPA
