The Regina Airport Authority (RAA) is a not-for-profit organization that operates YQR under a long-term lease with the Federal Government. The RAA has a mandate to operate a safe and secure airport, while looking to grow for the greater benefit of the community.

Position Description
YQR is currently seeking a Supervisor, Airfield Mobile, who will be responsible for the supervision, leadership and development of the airfield maintenance team while directing their assigned work activities. The position will lead a team of equipment operators and heavy duty mechanics and is accountable to ensure that airside and groundside surfaces and equipment are operated and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry practices. The position provide input into on-site decisions regarding solving problems, meeting regulatory requirements, and achieving objectives.

Position responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• While promoting safety awareness, perform all duties with an ownership attitude in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership to Airfield Maintenance Team, including equipment operators and heavy-duty mechanics.
• Assist with ensuring appropriate incident command response procedures are carried out in the event of an emergency.
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s Mission, Vision, and Corporate Values.
• Respond to operational emergency situations during and after standard hours of work for the purpose of resolving immediate concerns to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport.
• Administer the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement in a fair, firm, and consistent manner.
• Ensure department’s activities comply with all legislated regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
• Promote good relations and communication between departments.
• Supervise, motivate, and assign the work activities and schedules of department team members.
Candidate Background and Experience
• Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in airport maintenance and operations, or a minimum of three (3) years experience and a certificate in Airfield Operations or specialized training in airport operations.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills to professionally manage a multitude of tasks in a customer focused environment.
• Ability to grow and maintain positive professional relationships with corporate departments, key business partners and team members.
• Capable of performing within a transparent work environment where collaborative relationships are encouraged, and varied opinions are respected.
• Strong awareness and commitment to a healthy and safe working environment.
