Under the direction Of the Assistant Director of Operations and Maintenance, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of airport-owned commercial tenant buildings and grounds. This role ensures that all facilities are safe, functional, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations. This role will have a strong tenant, stakeholder, and vendor presence, helping foster strong relationships. Responsibilities will include communication and analysis of facts and observations to assist management in decision-making, serving as the liaison between Operations, Business Development, and the tenant. This position also serves as a backup to other functional supervisor areas and is expected to be proficient in a wide range of facility-related systems.

• Coordinates scheduling for maintenance personnel and contractors.
• Anticipates, plans for, and manages a range of facility projects, including complex multi-year contracts.
• Acts as a liaison between Operations and Maintenance, Business Development, and tenants to communicate concerns and issues to contractors and vendors.
• Assists in the resolution of complex work problems, recommending change orders, preparing progress reports, reviewing plans and specifications, reviewing invoices, and authorizing payments.
• Creates and maintains a commercial properties facility and maintenance spreadsheet with requirements/ projects based on contracts and service agreements.
• Develops and executes preventative maintenance work designed to extend the useful life of mechanical equipment, buildings, facades, roofing systems, etc.
• Performs periodic physical inspections of properties, reviewing asset conditions, and make recommendations for improvement. Investigate chronic or recurring issues and provide critical evaluation to develop solutions.
• Compiles, prepares, and distributes applicable materials and documentation (e.g., work orders, inspection reports, etc.)
• Inspects, maintains, and documents vehicle and equipment maintenance.
• Responds to hazardous wildlife incidents, foreign object debris (FOD), and other flight safety hazards affecting the airfield environments.
• Manages, maintains, and acts as a representative of the Airport for various contracts/contractors associated with Airport maintenance and projects (e.g., aquatic herbicide control, FP&L, landscaping, etc.)
• Communicates effectively with air traffic control for movement on the airfield and notification of hazardous conditions.
• Conducts FAR Part 139 airfield inspections; assesses airfield conditions for safe aircraft operations, records discrepancies, issues airport NOTAMs, and generates work orders.
• Performs duties and responsibilities under the Airport’s Wildlife Hazard Management Plan (WHMP).
• Performs fuel fire safety inspections of fuel facilities/mobile fuelers for compliance with FAR Part 139 and NFPA 407.
• Assists in the maintenance of airport-owned fuel storage facility for state and federal regulatory compliance.
• Maintains accurate records of inspections, repairs, reports, etc.
• Responds to and assists with airport emergencies and other incidents at the airport (including but not limited to: vehicle or aircraft accidents, inclement weather, and fuel spill cleanups in accordance with the approved Airport Emergency Plan).
• Assists with coordination and supervision of towing operations and /or repairs on site to ensure safe and efficient ground movement.
• Required to work overtime or alternative hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the airport to include hazardous weather event (e.g., hurricanes), emergencies, special events, and holidays as required.
