What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $62,186- $102,607. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $70,000 – $90,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. In this position you can expect to work 3-5 days per week on-site. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities will include:
- Topographic surveys
- Point staking for airfield paint layout
- Assist in creating legal descriptions and exhibits for lease areas
- Make recommendations to the land surveyor in responsible charge for project compliance, approval, or denial
- Monitoring existing structures for movement
- QA/QC of ongoing construction projects
- Maintain survey equipment
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player eager to join a diverse group of survey professionals. They will share their experience and energy in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and data collection software
- Proficiency with Trimble equipment
- Records management
- Experience in field surveying and office surveying
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Engineering, Science or a related field.
- Experience: None
- Education: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- Licensure & Certification: requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application. Enrollment as a Land Surveyor Intern (LSI) issued by the Colorado State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and professional Land Surveyors at the time of application. Enrollment as a Land Surveyor Intern (LSI) by another state will be accepted in lieu of this requirement providing the applicant is enrolled by the State of Colorado by the completion of the probationary period. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
