ABOUT THIS POSITION

 

The City of Phoenix Aviation Department is seeking a results-oriented professional to serve as the Concessions Business Manager in charge of the Concessions Program within the Business and Properties Division at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. This position oversees the Concessions team that manages the business tenant relationships with all Concessions Tenants, such as Food & Beverage, Retail, and Passenger Services serving Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The Concessions Business Manager provides direct daily supervision and leadership to a team of 6 professional staff members. The position is responsible for leading negotiations and managing all leases and business agreements for concession tenants; managing airport terminal space; monitoring tenant contract compliance for insurance, bonds, rental adjustments, and lease amendments; and monitoring tenant business activity and accounts totaling over $70M in annual concessions revenue to the Aviation Department. Also, this position manages the Section’s KPIs and the Department’s strategic plan related to the section. Additionally, this position also prepares the Section’s annual operational budget estimate reports and coordinates and staffs the Semi-Annual Concessions tenant meetings.

 

This is a professional supervisory position requiring independent judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy at all times, business writing skills, business presentation skills, critical thinking, financial and statistical data interpretation, and contract leasing negotiation experience. The selected candidate will be required to function in a fast-paced airport business environment, handling a variety of projects concurrently and with a high degree of tenant interaction.

 

SALARY

 

$93,121.60 to $124,800.00 annually.
