ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Aviation Superintendent for Conveyance Systems provides leadership and operational oversight for the airport’s major conveyance infrastructure, including Vertical Transportation (elevators, escalators, moving walkways) and the Baggage Handling System (BHS). The Superintendent oversees two Section Heads who administer maintenance contracts, support modernization efforts, and ensure system safety, availability, and compliance. The role leads budgeting, planning, vendor performance, and coordination with airport stakeholders, airlines, TSA, and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Development and management of operating budgets for BHS and VT sections.
General oversight of capital projects and equipment upgrades and replacements.
Establishment and oversight of multi-million-dollar maintenance service contracts.
Development and management of short, medium, and long-term capital maintenance plans.
Management oversight of teams comprised of professional, technical, and non-technical staff.
Consistent superior customer service, integrity, and commitment to innovation, efficiency, and fiscal responsibility.
Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement cost-effective solutions that meet operational requirements.

SALARY

Hiring Range: $93,121.60 to $124,800.00 annually.
