North America’s airports remain one of the busiest in the world, with several airports ranking among the world’s top 20 airports for passengers and for cargo. Airports in North America also handle more aircraft movements than any other region worldwide. The following statistics present a ranking of North American airports.

Ranking only includes airports participating in the ACI annual stats collection.
1. Total Passengers: arriving + departing passengers + direct transit passengers counted once.
2. Total Cargo: loaded + unloaded freight + mail in metric tonnes. Data includes transit freight.
3. Total Movements: landing + take off of an aircraft.
