Greg Cota joined ACI-NA in 2013 and serves as Senior Vice President of Government and Political Affairs. He is one of ACI-NA’s lead lobbyists on Capitol Hill, focusing on aviation-related legislation, funding, and regulations involving the DOT, FAA, DHS, TSA, and CBP.

Before joining ACI-NA, Cota was the senior transportation policy advisor to Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), whose office he joined in 1998. He helped shape and implement several major aviation, surface transportation, and homeland security authorization laws. He also managed Sen. Leahy’s annual appropriations priorities for transportation, homeland security, labor, and economic development.

Cota holds a bachelor’s degree in government from the College of William and Mary and a master’s degree in transportation policy from George Mason University.
