Panagiotis Karamanos

Panagiotis has 25 years of experience in Europe, India, USA, and other regions on aviation, sustainability, capacity building, and policy issues. Since 2014 he serves as the Senior Advisor to Airport Carbon Accreditation, while he contributed to the ACI Europe Sustainability Strategy for Airports. From 2001-2012 he headed the Environmental Department of Athens International Airport. From 2011 onwards he has been involved with a number of European Union projects in India on aviation, environment and sustainable urbanisation. In the past he also served as a visiting faculty at Duke University’s Center for International Development. He has been involved with short-term projects on capacity building, airports, environment, with the World Bank, EASA, etc.
