WASHINGTON – Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA), the trade association for commercial service airports in the United States and Canada, today welcomed new Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator David E. Pekoske’s renewed commitment to industry collaboration on aviation security provided in his keynote address to ACI-NA’s Public Safety and Security Conference.
“The work airports and our partners are doing to navigate our dynamic and complex security landscape could not be more important, especially as the industry prepares for continued traffic growth in the years ahead,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. “Airports appreciate the strong partnership we have forged with TSA and we look forward to continuing that work with Administrator Pekoske in his new role. We know he will be a great partner to airports as we work together for the safety and security of our passengers and employees.”
Ensuring the safety and security of the traveling public is the top priority for airports. North American airports continue to work with policymakers to ensure federal agencies like TSA and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have the adequate funding for staffing to provide seamless and expeditious security screening while maintaining the safety and security of the traveling public.
