Airports Call for the Confirmation of Kirstjen M. Nielsen as DHS Secretary

WASHINGTON — Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) President and CEO Kevin M. Burke expressed support for the confirmation of Kirstjen M. Nielsen as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“Ensuring the safe, secure and efficient movement of the traveling public both domestically and internationally necessitates effective collaboration between the government, airports, airlines, law enforcement agencies, and other aviation industry stakeholders. Ms. Nielsen’s extensive experience as a leader in both senior government and industry security positions will be valuable in advancing the Department’s mission to ensure the security of our nation.
