The Clark County Department of Aviation
The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking a Managing Director – Project Management Office, a technology leadership role, directing three teams that together own the technology portfolio for Harry Reid International Airport, from capital IT and cloud/digital transformation projects to enterprise data, analytics, GIS and application development.
This position has direct oversight of the following:
· Business Intelligence – data engineering, analytics and executive reporting
· IT Project Management – capital technology projects, project governance and portfolio delivery
· Enterprise Systems & Applications – GIS, enterprise application administration, business process improvement and application development
Duties include establishing and maintaining project management standards, portfolio governance processes, performance measures, and reporting frameworks including modern project and portfolio management (PPM) platforms to ensure projects are aligned with organizational priorities, available resources, and operational objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with complex information technology systems, including at least two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
· Experience in an airport or other high-volume, 24/7 operational environment is preferred.
· Knowledge of administrative principles and practices, strategic planning, goal setting, program development, implementation, evaluation, and organizational change management.
· Knowledge of portfolio, program, and project management methodologies, project governance, performance measurement, budgeting, resource planning, and risk assessment and mitigation strategies including cybersecurity risk considerations for critical infrastructure projects.
· Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and motivate teams while fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
· A Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification is preferred; Agile certification (e.g. Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe) is a plus.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $140,004.80 – $206,710.40. Salary may be negotiated based on qualifications and experience. Clark County Department of Aviation offers an excellent benefit package, including retirement through Nevada PERS (Public Employees Retirement System) and employees do not contribute to social security.
