Are you passionate about digital construction and model-based delivery? 📐🏗️ We’re looking for a skilled Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Coordinator to join our team supporting major infrastructure and digital delivery strategies at San Francisco International Airport.

This role blends coordination, model QA/QC, standards development, and collaboration across architects, engineers, and contractors. Strong Autodesk Construction Cloud/Revit experience is a must.

Under general supervision, the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Coordinator will report to the VDC Lead within the Infrastructure Information Management (IIM) Section and will support the development and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and VDC solutions across the Airport through active project engagement and data collection efforts. The position works with project teams throughout all phases of design and construction to support the collection, verification, and integration of project deliverables; process field-captured data into actionable insights; and provide end-user training and stakeholder engagement to drive the adoption and continuous optimization of BIM and VDC solutions.

Qualifications
1.  Education:

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Architecture/Landscape Architecture or an architecture/landscape architecture related field (such as Environmental Design or Interior Architecture) from an accredited college or university.

2.  Experience:

Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in the architectural/landscape architectural field including architectural/landscape architectural design, architectural/landscape architectural detailing, construction documents, programming, preliminary cost budgeting, specification coordination and review, and construction administration, all under the direction of a licensed architect/landscape architect.

3.  License and Certification:

Possession of a valid California driver’s license.

 

Substitution:

A professional degree in Architecture/Landscape Architecture (Bachelor of Architecture/Landscape Architecture or Master of Architecture/Landscape Architecture from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required education.

Applicants must meet the minimum qualification by the final filing date unless otherwise noted.

One-year full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40 hour work week). Any overtime hours that you work above 40 hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.

 

Desirable Qualifications
The stated desirable qualifications may be considered at the end of the selection process when candidates are referred for hiring.

  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo, Autodesk Construction Cloud and the Autodesk AEC ecosystem.
  • Experience with 3D model development, field data integration, and digital construction document management.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills working with design professionals, consultant engineers, and contractors.
  • Experience managing digital deliverables for large-scale, campus-wide, or aviation infrastructure projects.
  • Understanding of design and construction administration phases with familiarity of BIM standards (ISO-19650/NBIMs v4).
