COMMUNITY RELATIONS & NOISE PROGRAM MANAGER

THE POSITION
This role leads community engagement, noise abatement, and public outreach initiatives to enhance the airport’s reputation and align with its strategic goals. The manager develops and implements comprehensive communications, media relations, and stakeholder engagement programs while proactively promoting the airport’s brand and priorities.
Some of the position duties include:
· Coordination of regularly scheduled calendar events and speaking engagements, while also planning new initiatives and event requests. This includes attendance at these and other public and community meetings outside of normal working hours.
· Promote and oversee the Fly Safe Fly Quiet program, the Leaderboard program, and other elements of the Noise Program as a key liaison for the organization at community engagement and industry events on our noise programs.
· Prepare timely and accurate press releases, speeches, talking points, scripts, briefings, and other communications for public meetings, interviews, news conferences, and responses to media.
· Collaborate with leadership and across all departments to ensure consistent and correct brand image and values.
· Monitor and provide responses of the NAA social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and any social platforms.
· Serves as the custodian of public records and responds to requests in a timely, professional, and transparent manner, adhering to Florida Statues Chapter 286, the Sunshine Law.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in aviation management, communications, public relations, business or public administration, or another appropriate field.
· Five years reflecting increasing responsibility related experience communications and community education, with one year of related aviation experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Must have current knowledge of communication practices including excellent writing and editing skills, strong verbal and presentation skills, proficiency in the principles and practices of journalism, media relations and/or public relations.

Starting Salary: $4,000 – 4,423 Biweekly, depending upon qualifications
