The Dane County Regional Airport is seeking a full time Director of Planning and Development. Under general direction, serve as senior project manager responsible to plan, monitor and review professional engineering work, project progress and budget compliance. Perform and communicate airport project planning, progress and operational impacts with other airport divisions and external entities. Maintain competency in and serve as a resource for airport engineering, architecture, and facility expertise. Plan and execute the airport’s ongoing and future environmental mitigation activities including landfill remediation and monitoring; wastewater permitting and monitoring and airside and landside infrastructure development. Develop requirements for professional consultant services and select consultants for the provision of airport planning and construction projects to ensure effective and efficient infrastructure development and the safety of the traveling public and neighboring communities.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or related field, from an accredited four-year college or university. A minimum of four (4) years of professional experience (or equivalent) in planning, engineering or architecture, including a minimum of two (2) years of experience in airport or aviation planning, design, engineering, architecture, or construction project related field; and four (4) years of supervisory experience in a related field. Environmental experience with a combination of landfill, wastewater or hazardous materials is desired. Wisconsin Registered Licensed Professional Engineer or related profession, or the ability to become registered within two (2) years of start date. Must have or be able to obtain a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
