Under general direction, assist in directing, managing, supervising, and coordinating the Department’s Aviation programs and activities; coordinate assigned activities with City departments, divisions, outside agencies, tenants and the public; provide highly responsible and complex support to the Director of Aviation and Transit. Serve as acting Director in the absence of the Aviation and Transit Director. Incumbent has a high degree of understanding airport functional operations, is able to work with considerable initiative. Supervise overall Airport security activities, enforcement of FAA and TSA regulatory requirements, and City policies. Develop and update Federally required certification, operational, and security manuals. Participate in the development and updating of the Departments financial plan and budgets; provide forecasts of departmental revenue and expenditure requirements; project long-term debt financing for capital improvements.

Salary is $110,465.26 – $127,884.43/annually, reflecting Step 1 and Step 4 of a 7 step pay scale.  Salary at hiring is DOE; excellent benefits, and moving allowance is negotiable.
