Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be sent to meetings@airportscouncil.org no later than September 13, 2024. Registration fees are refundable but subject to a $100 administrative fee. Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications & Customer Experience Awards

ACI-NA’s 2024 Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Awards offers the opportunity to showcase your airport staff’s skills and talents in the areas of marketing, customer experience and public relations. The winners will be announced at ACI-NA’s Marketing and Communications Conference on October 29 in San Francisco, CA.

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to all ACI-NA airport members, and we encourage airports of all passenger sizes to participate. Entries must have been implemented between September 1, 2023 and August 30, 2024. Award-winning submissions entered last year that had been part of an ongoing program or campaign may not be submitted. Each airport can submit only one entry per category— no exceptions.

SUBMISSIONS AND DEADLINES

To enter, you must have an ACI-NA member login.

Submissions must be received by 5 PM Eastern Time on Friday, August 30, 2024.

ENTRY FEES

The fee for each entry is $100.00. All entries must be paid in full by Friday, August 30, 2024, in order to participate.

Ted Bushelman Legacy Award for Creativity and Excellence

We are also accepting nominations for the 2024 Ted Bushelman Legacy Award for Creativity and Excellence.

This special award recognizes the values, accomplishments and creativity of airport marketing, communications and customer experience professionals who share those talents and contribute to the legacy of professionalism experienced throughout our meetings and programs.

The recipient of this award must have a minimum of 15 years experience in one or more of the disciplines represented by the Marketing, Communications and Customer Experience Committee.

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, August 30, 2024.

Join the SFO Museum team on a behind-the-scenes tour. Learn how the SFO Museum programs, conserves, curates, and exhibits their award-winning displays. Spend time with the Museum’s permanent ephemeral collection of airline, airport, and aviation artifacts and other curiosities.

Date: Wednesday, October 30, 2024

Time: 3:30pm – 5:30pm

There are 50 spots available on the tour, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Transportation will be provided from the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SOMA. The tour will begin at the SFO Museum workspace and warehouse. From the warehouse, tour participants will take the AirTrain back to the SFO Museum where you’ll learn how SFO has played a prominent role in the development of Pan Am and their pioneering accomplishment of transoceanic flight. The tour will end at the Aviation Library & Museum, International Terminal, A-side.

About the SFO Museum

SFO Museum is the only American Alliance of Museums accredited museum at an airport and is responsible for programming and installing the rotating exhibits in each boarding area, housing and maintaining the Museum’s permanent collection, and coordinating with the San Francisco Art Councils’ permanent art collection installed throughout the SFO campus.

Trivia fact: The first commercial transoceanic flight was not across the Atlantic, but across the Pacific in 1937, connecting San Francisco to Hong Kong is a record breaking 7 days!
