The Kenton County Airport Board (“KCAB”) is soliciting bids for Sludge Cake Removal Services for the Stormwater Treatment Plant (“SWTP”) at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (“CVG”). The sludge cake is generated as part of the aerobic treatment (activated sludge) process of Spent Aircraft Deicing Fluid (SADF). Prior to entering the roll-off boxes, the sludge cake is run through a centrifuge to remove as much liquid as possible. The moisture content remaining after running through the centrifuge is approximately 87%. The sludge cake has been classified as non-hazardous by a certified laboratory.
