The Kenton County Airport Board (“KCAB”) is soliciting proposals relating to Baggage Handling System Demolition (Phase 1) at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (“CVG”). KCAB is in the process of replacing the existing 30,000 linear feet Baggage Handling System with a new system. In order to prepare for the install of the new system, the decommissioned system needs to be demolished. The decommissioned Baggage Handling System consists of approximately 15,000 linear feet of shutdown/decommissioned conveyor systems (conveyors, make-up carousel(s), and tilt tray system) in addition to support Motor Control Panels, conduit to/from conveyors and distribution panels, associated communications equipment, electric services, and other apparatuses located between the Terminal, Concourse A, and Concourse B. Phase 1 of this demo project is comprised of an estimated 11,000 linear feet of conveyor in Concourse B Basement. These items, in addition to others, would need to be included in the demolition plan.
