The successful Proposer will provide the Noise Office with qualified and experienced acoustical engineering consultants to support SFO in complying with state and federal requirements regarding aircraft noise. Typical support will include, but is not limited to: produce quarterly noise monitoring reports and noise contour maps as required by the California Department of Transportation airport noise standards (California Code of Regulations, Title 21, Subchapter 6); assist in achieving highest performance of the SFO Noise and Operations Monitoring System (NOMS) database and reporting capabilities; evaluate SFO noise abatement programs, monitoring and reporting; develop stakeholder outreach plans and materials for FAA, airlines, the Community Roundtable, and the public; train new Noise Office staff; and support Noise Office outreach to and engagement with internal SFO teams like planning, sustainability, operations, facilities and project management teams. In addition, SFO is seeking a consultant with expertise in development and implementation of Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) flight procedure changes and in providing litigation support for noise claims brought against the Airport.
