The Kenton County Airport Board (“KCAB”) is soliciting proposals for a third party to provide Medical Screening/Surveillance Services for KCAB employees at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (“CVG”). KCAB follows a comprehensive annual medical surveillance program that KCAB believes helps to attract, motivate, and retain our most valuable asset - our employees. KCAB’s program includes OSHA medical screenings, pre-employment screenings, post offer pre-placement physical abilities testing, annual screenings, CDL physicals, police officer physicals, Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) firefighter physicals, and drug and alcohol testing.KCAB is soliciting proposals pursuant to a determination that providing such a service is a best business practice for the welfare of its employees and to maintain compliance with the Federal OSHA standards published in Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations (29 CFR). All services must be provided in compliance with all applicable state and federal statutes and USDOT regulations, including those pertaining to the confidentiality of medical information.The objective of the drug and alcohol screening program is to assure worker fitness for duty and to protect employees, passengers, and the public from risks posed by the use of prohibited drugs and abuse of alcohol. KCAB employs approximately 100 Commercial Driver (CDL) employees and 390 non-DOT employees. The employees are subject to pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and random testing.Interested providers may propose on any or all services outlined in this RFP. KCAB intends to contract with best-qualified providers which represent the best value to KCAB and its employees.
