SCOPE:
Perform duties to comply with the Airport Security Program (ASP) and Security Directives to ensure that all employees, tenants, and contractors have the appropriate level of unescorted access to the airport, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
– Maintain clear understanding of the regulations and requirements related to the badging process issued by Federal authorities including STA, CHRC (Criminal History Records Check), CBP (Customs and Border Protection).
– Review application and determine if any factors disclosed will lead to disqualification. Fingerprint applicants. Review information obtained in background check regarding criminal history and security threat assessment. Enter information into the Transportation Security Clearinghouse (TSC) and the Velocity security program.
– Determine type of training required based on badging access and role prior to badging. Select appropriate videos addressing safety, driving and other related subjects and initiate applicant training.
– Monitor applications cleared for training over 30 days, and process as Not Issued in all systems.
– Print badges for approved applicants. Coordinate with contractors applying for badges for their staff. Ensure that contractor representatives sign for and pay for badging process for their staff.  Invoice contracting companies for cost of fingerprinting and badges. Notify TSA, SAA management and affected contractor when applicant badge application is revoked or denied.
– Respond to email and telephone calls related to the badging process and badge malfunctions. Set appointments for applicants. Disable returned, lost, or stolen badges, and add to Stop List. Delete records of badges unused or returned after the specified period.
– Monitor the STA (Security Threat Assessments) queue for rejects and cleared applications and notify cleared applicants.
– Tag and record expired badges in system. Provide lists of expired, lost, or stolen badges for a defined period to Finance for invoicing penalty charge.
– Support the audit processes by TSA and Customs at periodic intervals throughout the year. Provide records and files as requested.
– Provide guidance to others assisting in the Badging office.

OTHER DUTIES:
– Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
– Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
– Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
– Perform other related duties as assigned.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Use computer and common office equipment including Microsoft Office and other databases, systems and applications.
