We are seeking a dynamic individual to direct and supervise Communications Dispatchers in a 911 Communications Center. Are you a dedicated professional and leader with two (2) years of verifiable experience as a public safety (police/fire) dispatcher in a multi-frequency computerized dispatch/communications center; and possess a high school diploma? In this role you will supervise Communications Dispatchers engaged in public safety communication and dispatch services; act as shift supervisor, responsible for all activities of the Communications Center during their assigned shift; monitor and reinforce compliance of Airport Communications Center policies, procedures, and federal regulations; oversee the coordinated responses of multiple emergency services and take appropriate course of action upon receipt of reports and requests for service; oversee the communication and operation of both 911 emergency and the non-emergency telephone calls and two-way radio; train new employees in dispatch functions; evaluate in writing, the performance of staff members, set goals and work plans for dispatchers and make recommendations as to additional training needs; serve as Custodian of Records and receive and process requests for release of CAD records and audio recordings; assemble statistical data and prepare operations summaries and manuals; prepare memos and reports; and conduct investigations.
