Aviation Management Office
SFO is hiring an Airport Property Specialist 1. This position requires someone with knowledge of aviation industry tenants and the leasing and management of commercial properties. Duties include: Managing various activities of tenants, including airlines, aviation support providers, fuel companies and government agencies, related to the following properties – terminals, land, office buildings, cargo facilities, hangars and other properties; performing various tasks related to the leasing and management of Airport lands, terminals, buildings and other public service outlets; identifying highest and best use of airport properties in order to maximize airport revenue; negotiating, completing and managing various contractual space and operating agreements; and performing related duties as required. Revenue Development & Management Office
SFO is hiring an Airport Property Specialist 1. This position performs a variety of functions related to the Airport’s property management and business development programs. Duties include: overseeing building operations, lease administration, managing various activities of tenants, vendor management, tenant relations, budgeting and financial management, project management, leasing and performing related duties as required. How to qualify
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience : Two (2) years of experience in the areas appropriate to the assigned position. These areas may include but are not limited to: market research; evaluation of economic feasibility of leases; the management and leasing of: commercial properties, retail properties, passenger services and advertising, food and beverage concessions, airport/aviation industry tenants, air passenger support services, airline operations, or air cargo operations.
Special Condition: Qualifying experience must include one (1) year of experience leasing and/or managing a retail or food & beverage property.
Note: The special condition is required for positions only at the Revenue Development & Management Office.
Note: Residential property management experience is not qualifying.
Education Substitution: Additional qualifying full time work experience (2000 hours equal one year) as described above may substitute up to two (2) years of the required education. One (1) year of work experience equals to 30 semester units or 45 quarter units.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience developing a leasing process/procedure in response to departmental needs.
- Leasing experience in a municipal setting.
- Experience analyzing and evaluating current market rates.
- Experience making presentations in front of large groups.
- Experience in leasing and management of portfolio of airport or commercial real estate properties
- Experience in management of airport, airline or aviation support service operations
