The Museum was granted initial accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums in 1999, re-accredited in 2005, and has the distinction of being the only accredited museum in an airport.  Today, SFO Museum features twenty-five galleries throughout the Airport’s terminals displaying a rotating schedule of approximately forty exhibitions annually on themes such as art, history, science, and popular culture.  Additionally, the San Francisco Airport Commission Aviation Library and Louis A.
