We are searching for a self-directed individual as a Lead Painter with demonstrated journey level lead experience. The selected candidate will have responsibilities for the following:

  1. Plans, completes, inspects and leads projects, work orders and others including contractors engaged in the application of architectural, commercial and specialized industrial protective coat­ings to structures interior and exterior, machinery, equipment and facilities; determines material, equipment and labor requirements; requisitions materials, supplies and equipment, establishes color schemes, applies undercoats, coats of paint, enamel, varnishes, wax and lacquers; matches and mixes paint, ensures safe work practices.
  2. Participates in the development and implementation of work schedule, preventive and predictive maintenance standards and schedules, operational budget, work standard, processes, procedures, research, analysis, plans, specifications, selection and approval purchases equipment, monitors expenditures and controls costs.
  3. Establishes and evaluates performance and development targets, coaches and provides feedback, implements and promotes safety initiatives, ensures safety practices are applied to work activities, work standards and regulations, provides training and technical assistance to assigned employees and others, coordinates work activities with internal and external stakeholders, responds to emergency situations, inquiries and complaints.
  4. Scrapes, burns, sands, plasters, repairs and applies commercial and specialized industrial protective coat­ings including undercoats, finishing coats, paint, enamel, stains, waterproofing, varnishes, wax, lacquer, wallpaper, sheetrock and stucco to structures, machinery, equipment and furniture; stripes roadways and parking lots; mounts maps; prepares walls for plaster, stucco and color schemes; repairs fungus and termite damages.
  5. Sketches and lays out work from drawings and sketches; interprets blueprints, schematics and diagrams, requisitions tools, equipment and supplies, maintains records, logs, blueprints and specifications; erects scaffolding, staging, rigging, brushes, rollers, electric tools and equipment.
  6. Participates in meetings, develops and maintains records and reports, timecards, worksheets, accident reports, work requests, operates vehicles to travel to work sites and performs related duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  1. Graduation from high school or G.E.D.
  2. Seven years of commercial journey level painting experience, at least five years of which at least two years were in a lead role.
  3. Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Must be flexible to work the third shift, holidays and adjusted schedule as operation require.

Depending on experience starting reward is between $69,239 and $85,003 per year

(Full salary $69,239 – $80,753 – $93,716)
