There is one (1), part-time position open.  Occasional additional hours to backfill the other Security Compliance Specialist position during periods of leave may be required.  

The Security Compliance Specialist I reports to the Manager of Airport Security and performs complex, technical, and administrative work in support of the credentialing and badging program, access control, and other security processes set forth in the Reno-Tahoe International Airport’s Security Program, and ensures compliance with organizational security policies, procedures and operational standards.

The nature of the position requires the ability to interpret and apply complex, technical and regulatory information; strong attention to detail; the ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality of highly sensitive information; the ability to establish, maintain and foster effective working relationships; and strong business communication skills.


Entry Salary: $21.10 – $26.59 per hour.  With opportunity for additional merit-based increases up to a range maximum of $32.08 per hour.   Initial salary placement will be based upon experience and qualifications.  This is a part-time, hourly position and is overtime eligible.

Minimum Qualifications: 
Required Education: Graduation from High School or equivalent certification.

Required Experience:  Three (3) years of experience providing administrative support for a complex program that required research and the application of regulatory technical requirements.

Required Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required at the time of application.
