The Port of Oakland is currently recruiting for the position of Port Maintenance and Construction Supervisor. Under general direction, the Port Maintenance and Construction Supervisor supervises the regular maintenance and minor construction and repair of Airport and Harbor Facilities and infrastructure improvements except for items which are electrical, mechanical or plumbing. The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring and maintaining the budget for personal services, materials, equipment, supplies and contractual services.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Graduation from high school or its equivalent supplemented by specialized courses in civil engineering, construction trades or related fields.

Experience: Three years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a position equivalent to a Port Maintenance Foreman or similar classification involving construction and/or maintenance and repair related to asphalt, concrete, building maintenance and marine facilities maintenance and/or airport maintenance.

Licenses: Must possess a valid California Class B driver’s license at the time and for the duration of appointment. Must participate in mandatory D.O.T. drug and alcohol testing program pursuant to the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49 (49 CFR), Parts 40 and 382 effective January 1, 1996, and the Port of Oakland’s policy #AP304.
