COMPENSATION
$70,400 – $102,500 annually + a generous benefits package to include medical, dental, vision and 10% employer paid 401A through VOYA Financial.
SUMMARY
An employee of this class provides robust analytical support to help strengthen the air service development efforts of the Ontario International Airport (ONT). Incumbents in this classification report to the Director of Air Service Development, who reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Air Service Development Analyst will be a central part of Ontario International Airport Authority’s (OIAA) overall strategy of growing passenger and cargo volumes at the airport, attracting new carriers and retaining existing airlines, and serving as an internal resource and subject matter expert for other divisions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Important and essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conducts extensive analysis and data reporting to support the overall air service development initiatives of the OIAA.
- Creates internal reports using key industry data to assist the Director of Air Service Development in identifying strategic opportunities for new entrants and growth from existing partners.
- Creates tools and dashboards to illustrate air service trends and support passenger and cargo forecasts.
- Monitors and reports on key trends in the aviation industry.
- Creates presentations for meetings and provides updates with external partners.
- Collaborates with other internal departments to support data needs and share relevant air service development updates.
- Assists the Director of Air Service Development in building and maintaining relationships with airline stakeholders.
- Attends industry conferences and events as necessary.
- Performs administrative functions as needed.
- Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and priorities for air service development activities and operations.
- Does related work as required.
- May occasionally be assigned to other duties for training purposes, technological changes or emergency response.

- Possesses subject matter experience and a track record of accomplishment in all or many of the disciplines outlined previously in this job description.
- Ability to critically evaluate large datasets and draw substantive conclusions.
- Ability to interpret and present analytical findings to management and other stakeholders.
- Ability to utilize data visualization programs such as Tableau or PowerBI to communicate results and trends.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

- Possesses strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in handling all documentation, data and other sensitive information.

- Maintains a familiarity with the airport’s infrastructure and airline carrier operations.
- Maintains knowledge of the communities which ONT serves, and familiarity with the aviation landscape of the region.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education, training, and experience that would likely provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Economics, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Aviation Management or a related field is required.
- Two years of demonstrated work experience in an analytical role required.
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of airline economics preferred.
- Previous related work experience in the aviation industry preferred.
- International experience and/or the ability to speak a second language preferred.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATION
- Valid Driver’s License equivalent to a California Class C driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record at time of appointment and throughout employment
- Ability to pass all background / reference checks, knowledge examinations, as well as aptitude tests necessary to obtain an OIAA employee badge at ONT

- This position primarily operates in a professional climate-controlled office environment
- Passenger airline terminals including operations areas not open to the public
- Non climate-controlled aircraft hangers
- Occasional domestic and international air travel required to support OIAA air service development initiatives.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This is an at-will, exempt position. Only a valid and properly executed employment agreement may alter status as an at-will employee. Verbal contracts are not valid. The employment relationship may be terminated at the will of either party upon notice to the other. As an at-will employee, there would not be an established property interest in continued employment with OIAA.
