Mineta San José International Airport is recruiting for a Manager of Airport Technology Services. This is a leadership position responsible developing, executing, and maintaining the Strategic Direction for Information Technology implementations and related functions at the San Jose International Airport. This will include planning, management, coordination, and execution of IT strategic goals and objectives that are in alignment with the overall operational and business goals and objectives of the San Jose International Airport. This position is responsible for directing the research and development of technical solutions as well as on-going support and maintenance of existing department-specific applications and systems. The successful candidate will supervise and lead a diverse team with varying skills and disciplines consisting of both departmental and third-party employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with coursework in computer science, information systems, business administration, or closely related field and five (5) years of experience managing, maintaining, and implementing technology programs, computer system infrastructure and design, network operations, security design, application development and configurations, and system/server administration, including three (3) years of supervisory experience over a technical team.

The candidate must be fingerprinted and qualify under all applicable TSA and Airport regulations.


Additional Salary Information: The actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the starting salary, employees in this classification shall also receive an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation pay.
