The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Operations & Maintenance. This position oversees the Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Safety functions for the Nashville International (BNA) and John C. Tune Airports (JWN). The maintenance functions include the airfield and facility maintenance, maintaining vehicle fleet, and service contracts (baggage handling, janitorial, etc.). The operations functions include the day-to-day oversight of operations, all necessary and required inspections to ensure airport safety and compliance with FAA part 139, gate usage/assignments, terminal/checkpoint line management, and parking operations. The environmental functions include the treatment of deicing fluids, fuel spill, training airport staff and tenants on environmental compliance, produce environmental assessments or review/assist outside consultants with environmental assessments, etc. The safety function includes training for all staff, ensuring OSHA and TOSHA compliance, safety committee, and serving as FAAADA program coordinator.
- A bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field plus more than 10 years of progressive aviation leadership;
- A master’s degree in aviation or a related field (or an MBA), or the ability to obtain within three years of employment;
- A.A.E. accreditation from the American Association of Airport Executives (or ability to obtain within one year of hire).
Salary & Benefits
