Assistant Vice President, Finance – BNA

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Finance. This position is responsible for managing the treasury and accounting functions at MNAA and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, MNAA board policy directives, and MNAA investment policies. Other responsibilities include ensuring financial statements appropriately present the financial position of the organization, including all required disclosures in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and specific directives. This position has significant responsibility in establishing financial controls and managing the annual audit. The incumbent will oversee two direct reports and approximately 14 MNAA team members and is expected to be responsible for ensuring both productivity and accountability of the team members.

Position Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, seven plus years of relevant experience, a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience, and must be a certified public accountant (CPA) or capable of becoming a CPA within the first 24 months of employment. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a related field, airport experience or airport accounting exposure, and Certified Member (C.M.) accreditation through the American Association of Airport Executives.

Salary & Benefits

The starting salary range for the position is $132,651 – $180,478. In addition to the base salary, the incumbent is eligible for a potential of 0 – 15% of base salary, as an annual bonus.
