Manager of Marketing

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director of Business Development, the Manager of Marketing will be responsible for the management and execution of all marketing, branding, advertising, and promotional strategies on behalf of the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) and Melbourne Airport Authority (MAA) to bolster consumer awareness and the overall customer experience of the airport.  Additional responsibilities also include but are not limited to, the planning, creation and execution of relevant content for marketing, branding, social media, promotions, special events, emergency response, presentations, and newsletters. The manager of marketing will interface with MLB and MAA stakeholders, federal, state, and local governmental agencies, and community partners including local chambers of commerce.

Position will also support and collaborate with the Public Information Officer (PIO) as it relates to providing support of key messaging, media relations, community affairs, crisis communication and grant writing.


Examples of Duties 

Manages airports marketing and advertising programs (social media, digital signage, e-mail marketing, print, TV, radio, etc.)
Manages creative and content development (in-house for internal and external communication programs, print and digital advertising, PowerPoint presentations, and signage)
Creates website content creation including blogs, updating, and design.
Coordinates with our advertising partners and media buyers, including creative and design of advertising content while managing advertising campaigns.
Manages Airport Ambassadors to coordinate schedules, and coverage for all international flights and other activities, as needed.
Develops all Airport Ambassadors program to inform them of, changes and updates to flight schedule and special projects.
Mentors Ambassadors and provides guidance and feedback on work behaviors and on the job training of new Airport Ambassadors as well as any recurrent training that may be required.
Schedules Ambassadors as needed for airport tours.
Provides management and oversight to a wide variety of projects from start to finish to ensure delivery of a cohesive visual aesthetic for photography and videography.
Maintains images and video library files.
Develops  and implements the airport customer experience programs “MLB Moments that Matter”  as well as other airport customer experience initiatives
Manages all airport branding initiatives to ensure the integrity of the airport brand is always maintained, including, but not limited to, logo management, copyright adherence, as well as updating and strengthening the overall airport brand
Collaborates with PIO on all ongoing and new special events that are both sponsored by the airport or in some way affiliated with the airport.
Develops partnerships and leverages relationships with area businesses and tourism entities.
Assists with the development and management of the department budget.
Manages, designs, orders, and completes inventory of all marketing materials such as promotional items, ,business cards, stationary etc.
Maintains and updates distribution lists of key airport stakeholders and customer leads.
Minimum Qualifications 

Must possess a B.S. degree in marketing, communications and/or public relations (Proof of education must be uploaded with application).
Minimum of three years of marketing/communications/community relations related experience


Aviation (Airline/Airport) experience preferred
